Oh my god man i met the same case as u today at same side of the rock wall, something took all my PE line out even broke the rod, finally cut the 50lb leader line then ran away, so sad to miss this big thing！！

and when I write depth it's not measured in meters.

You have lost a Nice Trevally rocky.
The rocks do not forgive with this type of fish and I think your reel is not adapted to SHORE jigging game. you need more power and recovery speed
