Those PMS symptoms. I have had PMDD since I was 12 years old. The “That’s not what I look like” symptoms is such a mess. There’s also the mortality struggle at bedtime. Hating my closet. All the chocolate eating. It’s too much. You’re not alone.

Ohh so many beautiful things happening in this video Nina 🥰 thank you so much for sharing! I’ve read Goldfinch, The Overstory and Great Circle. The Overstory and Great Circle I found to be really immersive, and could really connect to the characters and enjoyed that the books were so long. The Goldfinch I found challenging and almost like I was counting down the pages. But still an incredible story.
I finished my first 50km trail run and had some similar ‘training hiccups’ (eg not doing as much as I thought I ‘should’) and the motto- ‘I’m out here to just enjoy being on the trail’ and ‘how can I make this moment as enjoyable as possible’ really helped me on the day to stay in a mindset of kindness and self-compassion. Trust your body and trust that you can do it! Best wishes. I hope it’s a wonderful day for you too ✨
I agree with your take on the goldfinch! I read it on kindle so I didn't really have any idea of how loooong it was (I think the last 30% I skimmed and was constantly like when is this over)
The overstory was great! I listened to it at first and I didn't love the narration, but reading the book was really nice
I also love your take on running! My motto for training for my recent marathon was "this is supposed to be for fun" which got me through! You and Nina both inspiring me for an ultra?!

Love your videos Nina! Always the dose of medicine, healing, warmth, or truth I need. You made me want to buy The Nix a couple years back. Still need to read it haha. I know what you mean about the bum bag book deterrent lol. Funny enough lately, I have been wanting to read nothing but big chunky books. They feel so good to hold in hand. I keep picturing myself with places to go and people to see, a tiny bag across my body, holding a big book sitting on the train. I'm gonna add some of this years reads to my list and I need to go back to White Teeth. I love Sadie I think I had one of those life moments that steal you away from words, too. That tomb book cover reminds me of Arundhati Roy's, The God of Small Things, one of my favorite books. On the job hunt as well *sucks*.

The Goldfinch is my absolute favourite book of all time! Highly recommend, it's worth the time and effort 100%.

Runna app! It's a bit pricey in my opinion, but as I said I found it very handy as I didn't know what I was doing at all for the 50km.
I looked up a code for it to get a cheeky discount : )
