- Speedrunning is no easy task. Speedrunning Big Brother? That's a whole different story. Today, we're going to be looking at the world record history of speedrunning the Big Brother any% route, starting all the way back in the year 2000.

This season Paloma used 2 strategies at the same time, something we've never seen before. Going out first on the hoh competition. Making Joe "Pooch" (who may I note attempted an any% run too, but failed) select her for backstage pass, giving her a chance of being the first one out. After a lot of speculation of what backstage meant, she used the Scott strat of acting like she went insane. As she left on either day 7 or day 8. It's not fully clear. (6 or 7 days in the house), giving her a top 10 position, truly one of the most legendary modern any% players, and one of the most legendary any% players ever, discovering a new speed running strategy. I wonder how many more runs from here on out are gonna use multiple strategies to do it. I think it's safe to say there's a new strategy. The Po Strategy.

Honestly Justin Sibek deserves credit for the discovery of vote skip, the strategy was surpassed but he basically breathed life into t he category.
vote skip was definitely a huge discovery, the speedrun community was really going wild in 2001 when he figured it out

Any % Big Brother speedruns are so underrated. The optimization at this point is incredible

Thanks to Justin Sebik's wild, inventive strategy, Big Brother had to create a new side-category of Big Brother called called Any% PAS - Production Assisted Speedrun.

Great video! While Sheryl's run didn't qualify for any%, her run used to be the fastest jury%(first to join jury) run for a while at 12 days until Brendon took the record in BB13 by returning on day 41 and getting evicted on day 48, becoming the first member of the jury in only 7 days.

As a lover of both Big Brother AND speedrunning, this really made me laugh and it kinda felt like I stepped into a weird alternate universe where all my interests get randomly combined.
It’s crazy that you now have me rooting for MORE day one eviction twists. Would love to see how far the record can be pushed.

I haven't watched Summoning Salt in months, but this definitley shows the impact he's had on TH-cam. He's one of if not the most succesful and critically aclaimed TH-camr on the platform today. All of us on the platform, even those who come from all different backgrounds that aren't speedrunning, need to respect him for that, and this is coming from someone who doesn't even speedrun. He deserves to have PewDiePie numbers in terms of subs and views and we all need to get him there
One contentious speedrun you completely overlooked was Paola Aviles in Big Brother 12.
There's no publicly released footage of this speedrun, but houseguests from the season have claimed she came into the house and immediately tried to stage a coup against production and walked within 2 hours, and production just decided to reshoot the move-in without her. Other accounts claimed she walked in sequester before the game began, so it's highly contested whether this record speedrun even exists, let alone if it counts!

I know this video is tongue in cheek but one could actually make a case with Scott from season 4. He wasn't actually kicked off for his behavior from what I've heard, so his "efforts to get productions attention in the speed run" failed at first, but he apparently had lied about having an STD and admitted it during the aftermath of his outburst and that broke a fundamental contractual rule and was why he was expelled (allegedly. The show didn't mention it at the time). One could argue for the sake of the speed running topic of this video that he failed in his initial strategy and seamlessly readjusted with a backup strategy that succeeded in him being removed :P
I promise, should I ever get cast on big brother, I'll implement a revolutionary any% strategy where I will deliver a Stone Cold Stunner directly to Alison Grodner during the L.A. visit after the first application step.

Would you factor in sequester? Jodi, Glenn, Cameron, David, and Jacob all had the chance to return to the game and were sequestered. Their chances of winning the game weren't completely gone until after they lost the battle-backs or in Jodi's case, her chances were over the day the four coaches became full houseguests. If you factor this in, Evel Dick is our record holder.

I think if BB21 didn't immediately evict David that there would have been a chance to get Jodi in his place, because there's no way production could have gotten away with casting two night 1 evictees in an all star season
