How to paint bamboo using a Chinese brush

This is a beginners video for Chinese brush painting, and goes over the basics of painting bamboo. You will beed a Chinese paint brush, india ink or black watercolor, printer paper (or rice paper if you have it - just don't use as much water with the rice paper the paint will spread), a jar of water and a paper towel or rag. Practice painting bamboo leaves before the bamboo, then put both together. In the end I included some photos of my trip to China as well as paintings I did in watercolor when I was there. Enjoy!

I have watched all of your painting tutorials. I want to tell you how much I appreciate you showing us how to draw our subject. You are so talented and you have taught me soo much! Please, please keep them coming. Both acrylic and watercolor. Would it be possible for you to show the picture you're painting so that we can see what you're looking at? I am having a hard time painting white flowers in watercolor. Could you maybe paint us a white flower of some kind. Thank you so much for all of your time and talent!:)
