People who counter with overhands are typically looking to counter over your jab. The worst thing you can do in that situation is to lazy jab. Even power jabbing is risky because it's slower and opens you up more. Put more emphasis on speed rather than power. Feint the jab because an overhand counter takes more commitment out of them than other counters so if they bite the feint, they're more likely to be in a compromising position. There are other things as well, but that'll be for another video.
