It does not have a screen to show you pics; you would need to pull the card. It will show you battery life and how many pics are on the card. 👍🏼. Thanks for watching!

Great looking camera. Exactly what I need for public land. I'd buy a handful to set out for 2022 but TS wants 69.99 each (great price) in my area but 89.99 to ship to either my local store or my home (125.99 shipping for the 4 I had in my cart). Don't even get me started on the almost 25.00 tax on the transaction... I'll have to wait and see if they ever stock them at my local store.
Great tip on these. It's not comforting putting a several hundred dollar camera in the field to be stolen or lost in a logging op or wildfire. Thanks again.

I bought a treeline trail camera 16 MP it hasn't saved a picture yet but it's taking what's up with that

Bought two of these last year and added them to my camera arsenal they take pretty good day pictures and night pictures, battery life seems to be good and haven't had any issues out of them.

I just got one of these. 1 Star and it's going back, but please understand - I'm not in any way knocking this review! I think the disparity between reviews and later consumer results can come from any number of issues. With supply chain problems for chips, there could be a change there to keep production rolling. Or a contract expires and the product moves over to a new Chinese builder who undercuts another manufacturer by substituting non-spec parts, or they receive counterfeit circuit boards from subcontractors, etc., etc. etc. If you can imagining it happening, it's happening on a regular basis. (I have a lifelong friend in the loop of Chinese manufacturing on the order and export side via Taiwan to the U.S.)
The claimed trigger speed of .75 seconds isn't even close on the unit I have in video mode. (I didn't try picture mode, and you have to choose one or the other, but I'm only interested in video.) My camera was out overnight for the first time in an area of high activity, including horses coming and going. It recorded a number of videos with no activity, except just one close up shot that showed the tail of a senior horse who walks as slow as molasses. Today, I set it up for testing in the driveway with myself as the subject to see what the issue was. At different ranges using fence posts as distance references, I slowly walked into the camera's field of view and exited out the other side of the frame. At 50' (+/- 1-2' verified with DME), I was already center frame before any image capture began. At half that distance, and again at a slow walk, I was almost out of frame before the camera triggered. At 15', I had a video of nothing despite knowing I'd slow walked through the cameras field of view. Another test at that mid distance of 25' and my elderly lab is still too fast for the camera when passing through for a retrieve. She was only recorded on her way back through the camera's field of view since she was within the time frame the camera keeps recording after triggering. Moving out to 50' and she didn't trigger the camera at all. I think the claimed range may be limited to deer sized animals - not sure. The camera was still out when the chickens and turkeys were out and about behind electric poultry net roughly 30' away and it didn't trigger at all.
My hunch is that it isn't merely a super slow trigger speed, but it's not triggering until movement is in the center of the frame, like it has no peripheral vision(?) I'd need to do more testing to determine if that's the case, but it's going back and my curiosity isn't high enough to jump that hoop. Regardless of cause, that .75 second trigger claim is damn near off a decimal point, and I'm not being unfair or hyperbolic to say it's definitely closer to 7.5 seconds than .75 seconds. Bummer. Some really good features like the glass lens and extra battery tray are awesome features, but in the end it's a bit like a beautiful car with an awesome stereo and no engine. I'm sure some people have good units from some era of production, but mine can't hold a candle to a 2014 Primos Work Horse that was closed out at something like 29.99 and still works like new. 🤷♂

I thought about doing an exchange to give another unit a shot, but I'm thinking of getting another WiFi unit like the one I got about the same time. The reviews on that WiFi unit that were negative were mostly about the app and connection issues, but mine connected like a champ and I might be hooked on this WiFi feature.

I reached out to reconyx to see if they would let me demo one to try out. I have heard nothing but great things about them but don’t have any hands on experience yet.

Well I was a little late viewing your latest video. We have been camping in Townsend Tennessee with no service lol. That seems like a steal of a deal on the camera. Cannot get pictures off SD card. With my card Reader Try a different card same situatouch you wish you do I need a app for this camemma
No app needed. Its not a cell camera. Try formatting the card and should work. I don’t use the portable sd card readers. They frustrate me. Lol

I’ve got 3 on our farm here in East Lauderdale Al. It takes more pictures of trespassers than deer and turkeys unfortunately.

Great looking camera. I'm not a fan of cameras that don't use the trays. Some of them you have to actually take off the tree to change batteries and then reposition them. Thats a no from me. Great video.

I have had about 6 trail cams over the years, more for security than hunting. Other people like to hunt on my property, and I am trying to monitor that. Moultrie and Browning so far are my only two brands. I have decided this year to go Cellular, and your video on the Spypoint Link Micro S LTE has led me to that option as my choice, I think it fits my needs, and at the price, I can buy several of them to cover different areas. I have already ordered one today, to see if I want more of them. However, I will continue to use the regular non-cellular cams. I love the price of this one, for what it does, it certainly suits my needs. I may have to buy a few of these as well. Thanks for the review, I love your videos.
Hey David; thanks for your kind words man…really appreciate it. I think that you will see that the Link works well when it works; but if you need to make a warranty claim it can be a challenge. You are smart to start with one and see how it works for you. If you can spend a bit more, I would try the StealthCam Fusion x as well. Not a solar camera; but the images are fantastic and their warrant claims are really good. Hope this helps buddy and keep in touch! 👊🏼👍🏼
After watching your video, I looked into the StealthCam Fusion x, as you mentioned liking it. It was all good, except for the battery life, I have been seeing it rated at only a month and a half. I would like to see four months of battery life, if I am spending money on batteries, and charging them regularly. Otherwise the Fusion X is a great camera.
Picture quality isn't really the best with the spypoint, but that isn't my concern, so long as I can identify who is on my land. So right now, I am going to check out this whole cellular cam thing. I like being able to monitor the camera activity as often as I want, not just seeing it weeks after it happened.
I will keep using the non-cellular as well, I'm covering 72 acres. But I don't want to change batteries every month and a half.That's the game changer for me on the Spypoint Link Micro S LTE, that solar power, set it and forget. As for warranty, I buy from Trailcampro. They warranty every camera themselves for two years. I have bought all of my cameras through them, and they are always great to deal with. Their own two year warranty on every camera is the real deal. If I have a Warrantee problem, I deal with Trailcampro, rather than the company who made the camera. They are great to deal with, very hassle free, great customer service.
I don't hunt, I get my deer meat from friends who do. But I like to protect my herd, I fully enjoy watching them throughout the year. The deer seem to love my land, several places where the babies bed down regularly.
Makes sense my friend! The Fusion X I installed is at 75% right now but the Link Micro is still 100%. 😎

Put the batteries in, SD card, did the date and time. Put the delay to 5 second and closed the latch.
5 days later no pictures... plenty of deer droppings in front of camera.
Online manuals havnt helps. Im lost...
Reformat the sd card or use a new one and try again. If not i would swap it for another one.
