I think when Shinpachi stabs Abuto's missing arm, it wasn't intentional, I feel like Shinpachi's trying to stab him in somewhere else, but Abuto sensed him and move away to avoid the stabs
I mean with Abuto's experience and his instinct as a Yato, he wouldn't miss Shinpachi's presence in the middle of the battle, he's just that good
