Renting a Tesla from Hertz / Costs Expectations

Video describing the basics of renting a Tesla Model 3 from Hertz, including the costs to charge, costs to drive vs gas vehicles and the costs to rent from Hertz.
I usually do videos on my bus but my truck quit working and I rented a Tesla Model 3 from Hertz and loved it. I thought I would share my experience in case anyone else was considering it - hoping to answer any questions or concerns they would have.

Thanks! Will do. Wire harness fell apart in my truck, trying to see if Ford will cover the costs. Our weather still sucks here - hoping another month and I’ll bring her home.

Thanks. Crazy how much less an electric car can be to operate but how much more they are to purchase. For $15k I could solar charge it. I could also get an accord. I could get 2 accords for the same cost or one and never make up the difference in fuel costs. I think the only way to make one work is to get used. Almost there. Perhaps that is why our gas costs went up - help make the push

Wow that is a steal to rent! Does hertz allow the enhanced auto drive or just the basic? I've always rented off turo and got the enhanced when it was beta but paid 10x yours

I’m not sure they purchase that with their cars - the only option I have is the self driving light. Almost cheaper to rent than buy one!

I am biased but I love Tesla. Just wish they weren’t so much money - but seems every thing is a lot anymore. The model 3 ride is ok - it’s not luxurious but is a nice firm sports car type ride. The S has air bags and rides smoother - but you could have a 3 and Y for that price. I looked at trading my truck for a lightning and the dealerships take the rebates and added another $7,500 to the MSRP - Ford lost a long term customer….
