True. My wife bought this game and the Wii when it first came out. I tried playing it and could not get past World 1-3. Fast forward 10 years and my daughter wanted to play it. We played it on and off from Summer of 2020 until now (Dec 28, 2020) and we finally made it past World 8, after playing every level about 20-30 times, finally got past them all, including the World 8 Airship and Bowser's Castle. I had played and made it to the end on the NES Mario Series, SMW on SNES, and the 6 Golden Coins and Super Mario Land (which, in my opinion, is MUCH more difficult than 6 Golden Coins). I have a feeling after getting past World 8 on this game, I may be done with Super Mario for a while. This game really tested the limits of my gaming ability for sure. Playing Mario is so much harder at 48 than it is in your late teens-early 20's. What a great game for sure.

Then I completed the boss with my heart stopped and three others in my ear screaming. I felt so accomplished that day. Also, it took us 1/4 of a year to beat that bowser boss level. Yes, we were noobs 😋😋 Side note: Boswer Jr. Has some serious acid reflex. He may want to get that checked out because it's NOT NORMAL TO SPIT FIREBALLS. I'm just saying.

I truly like the guides that make it feel like I'm playing vs the "super skill" guides I've seen. This video is 20 minutes or so longer than the same videos with the super skills and blasting through the levels so thanks for actually taking the time to have fun while doing the guide and not just posting on youtube.

When I was little, I found a Secret Exit early into this World and I never played through the rest of the world I just skipped it and beat the Game I never got past the 3rd Stage But when I was older and replayed it, this world was a Nightmare to get through
I disagree with you there, except 8-7 and 8-4(because it's an underwater level in the darkness), ALL the others levels in World 8 are easy bro. Don't get me now saying 8-1 is hard because you have to avoid the meteors and the toxic gas cloud. You just have to be far away from the toxic gas cloud and dodge the meteors and you're all good. And just because 8-5 is an autoscroller doesn't mean it's also a hard level

I think that level just throws way too much at you at once. 8-3 also had some tight platforming.

First, you got the volcanic rocks flying from the sky. 2. Next, there are Buzzy Beetles that can't be defeated no matter what (unless you have an Ice Flower). 3. Then you got lava geysers that can easily stop you from moving and force you to damage boost. 4. After that, you have boiling hot lava on the ground which is ready to fry Mario's butt to death. 5. And finally, there's a frickin' cloud of volcanic ash that forces you to keep moving or else you'll die. Man, it took me at least 5 tries to get this level done. How does Nintendo expect people to complete an insane Kaizo-style level like this?
I remember how i did tout back in 1993 tout that in world 8 of supermariobros 3, that you not only had to fight hammerbrother on the map screen but that you also had to fight against them in lava rooms,but that was not the case,however,my troughts from 1993 did became reality 16 years later in new supermariobros wii,just incredible😁👍
