  • Hi Guys and welcome to my test and review of the Karcher K4 Full Control Pressure Washer and Accessories (sold separately). I've been using this Pressure Washer for about a Month and thought a quick review would help you if you're looking to buy.
    I've also included my review of the Karcher Car Shampoo, Karcher Ultrafoam and the Karcher Soft Brush Attachment.

    Thanks for the review. After watching it I bought one. One tip which I saw you doing is not to get the nozzle too close to the path/whatever. I did, with a K4040 and it developed three/four kinks in the hose from the washer eventually causing a blowback and a major leak under the machine. Out it went, but no problems with the K4.

    Thanks for review. Not sure laying the brush attachment on the ground before you clean your car with it, is the best idea though. All you need is a small bit of grit on the brush to add a new effect to your paintwork.

    Second one is the dirtblaster, it is meant for the hardest work that's why you shoudn't use it for every surface. I would recommend only using it on hard surfaces like stone, for others like wood or your car i would use the otherone and change settings depending on the surface ;)

    Really helpful, thank you, particularly about the brush attachment. My back wouldn’t cope either so that has saved me the expense, I have a shed full of ‘useful attachment’s’ for various products which all looked fit for purpose at the time. Keep it up.

    Was interested how the top soap dispenser on the Karcher worked and had me intrigued up until the point when you put the soft brush on the concrete then go straight up to your nice Mercedes and start washing it. Grit in the brush will do no end of damage.

    I bought this model just before Christmas 2019 used it once worked fine, a couple of weeks later tried using it again, no pressure what so ever, had to send it back to Karcher as B&Q would not give me a refund nor would they exchange it for another. Karcher did repair it and it works fine now after replacing several parts.

      I was loathe to buy Karcher ... after buying their awful window cleaner device . When it packed up after a short time I read the reviews / comments and realised what bloody awful after sales service Karcher have got . Amused me when I read that it should not be kept in a damp environment ,, It's made for cleaning shower screens for god's sake ! Haven't used my K4 yet ... but fingers crossed .. Supplied by Tool Station , here in France ... so hopefully , better customer service if it goes wrong !

    Second Kärcher and like how many hours does somebody wash stuff and tiles at home? The unit (now the capacitor, seemingly) often breaks down. Such a shame because the rest seems like a solid build quality. To me it is a big pain on just getting the (2018) capacitor out of the unit, seems stuck. Why why why? My central heating pump is running 20 years, EVs drive 150000km without issues. Kärchers only x hours .... ? or just me? What are your experiences? Mine is now taken apart on my garden table - capacitor stuck, what a mess, didn't clean anything ... seems like a consumer - market choice that stuff needs to malfunction. What would be a better power cleaner than my K4, a durable one!

      If you have the correct Soap container, it goes in the slot at the top of the unit. Once the Soap container is installed (and has soap in it) you just turn the Wand on to a low setting and you should see MIX light up on the Wand handle. If you're putting the Soap Spray Gun on the unit it just replaces the Wand as seen in the vid. Hope that helps.

      Cold water is fine for car washing, car shampoo is designed for cold water and the only real benefit to using warm water is to keep your hands warm on a cold day. You should never use hot water through a pressure washer as the water going through the machine is also used to cool the motor and the compressor is not designed for hot water either.

      Not sure mate. Are you using the bottle that fits the mount on top? If so, have you unsealed the bottle and checked the ends not blocked before you pop it on? It should go into 'MIX' mode when the bottle is on and you pull the trigger. Does it do that? Have you tried twisting the wand down to it's lowest setting with the bottle on? Power is on? Hope these suggestions help.

    That Home and Garden app is really BS! I tested it out for a k4 full control doing a car, it said i first rinse it down, bottom to top?!?! thats was already weird. Than it showed i still should hand wash the car.... why then get a pressure washer?

    • @TheThorpester
      @TheThorpester  ปีที่แล้ว

      That is weird. Haven't seen the app. I use it to blast the road film off, then cover with soap. Then i hand wash with sponge then use it to rinse. I also use it to clean the slabs etc.

    • @petebunce9505
      @petebunce9505 ปีที่แล้ว

      Totaly agree. What's the point if you need to hand wash the car, sno foam Pro is only a pre wash ??? You then need to wash it with a sponge or long handled brush. Total waste of time and money if your using it to wash your car. Great for concrete thought.

  • @Cars10223

    Great video, just bought this all. Quick question, how much of the shampoo was used whilst you were using the brush on the car? Some people seem to say it drains the shampoo pretty quickly.

    • @TheThorpester
      @TheThorpester  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nice one. I figured out that by the time you get to using the Brush and Shampoo, the car is already wet so you only need to squeeze the trigger periodically. I squeezed it once on each panel (to get a bit of shampoo out) and used the brush to move it about and clean the car. Hope that helps. It will drain the whole bottle if you just keep the water coming out while brushing.

      I found with my K2 that the 500ml continer it came with, with the spray foam nozzle. Is usually enough for 1 motor, I found this to be the case with both the Autoglym snow foam and Karcher's own brand too.
