    I always love watching someone who's experienced with the ins and outs of machines like this do some "forensic analysis" on the jabroni that buggered around in there before him. It's like CSI for engines. I'm sure someone will be cursing me like this one day as I'm still learning! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and making your videos!

    The irony is some really rare and cool bikes like this are the very ones abused, and makes them even more rare than the average bike in the same time frame of history. Then, they wind up being even more expensive, and to the average guy out there, even from that time period, really question the validity of spending much money on them, if its a burden on the budget, or they can only afford 1 bike. Guess that goes for all bikes, its just that if more were taken care of, more folks could afford them, well at least until Barrett Jackson starts selling them, and then all bets are off :)... Oh, yeah that cross hatch looks hacked !

    question? i have a KZ900 and i was wondering will a head off of a KZ1000 make the KZ900 run /Breathe better?

    • @MotoRestoFL
      @MotoRestoFL  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t know the answer to that, but if it was me I would keep the 900 head do some porting on it and do some cam work before I swap it out with another head I think that would breathe just fine

      I don’t do that sort of work, I don’t really build race bikes more into restoration but I have worked on a couple of hopped up KZ 1000’s. If you contact Joe@pitstopperformance.com he does all that stuff. Thanks.

    • @MotoRestoFL
      @MotoRestoFL  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@paulhewson4600 customer is outsourcing much of it such as paint and powder coating which I don’t do. Engine also is at a builder. He picked up the remaining lot this morning as I tore it down to bare frame. I’m probably ordering all new fasteners soon and rebuilding/ painting front forks as I’ll do small paint work. My job will be to reassemble everything, reinstall the engine and tune a set of flat slides for him. I’ve done another one that wasn’t frame off but I had the engine out twice as that builder had to warranty a leaking base gasket. More to come.

    Back door rebuild jjjj

    • @MotoRestoFL
      @MotoRestoFL  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's all at an engine builder now, I didn't necessarily want to tear it down, rather let the engine builder do it, but my customer insisted that I do it. Anyway, when it comes back and I get everything else, after a rolling chassis is established, I'll stick it back in and we'll go from there.
