Francis is not scared because he knows Jon would only beat him via wrestling. He may not be scared of Jon as in getting physically hurt by him, but he is worried about losing a fight to him. It wouldn't look good on his resume if he got beaten by a guy from a weight class below him and he knows that there is a strong possibility of him losing the fight in the same manner he lost to the first Stipe fight.

I guess i shouldnt be surprised that JJ is supremely confident in his skill and ability, being a champion must neccesitate it, nice of him to tell Francis what holes or weaknesses he sees in his skillset. JJ has always been an extremely elusive fighter to land big shots on but you can never completely count out the power in Francis's hands cause it could only take one shot, however unlikely that one shot may be.
Go watch the Gustaffsson and Reyes fights - they literally put over 100 strikes on Jones, despite being a lot less explosive than Ngannou.
