    Is it possible to write up a checklist on how you differ from JuggAI. Am I wrong to say that the key difference is the Benchmark set feature, or is it much deeper than that?

    I don't know how big of a pain it would be, but an option to schedule a meet date based on the number of weeks out as opposed to a date on the calendar would be awesome for people like myself that have unconventional microcycles/"weeks". Due to my job, my training "week" is 9-10 days. This makes lining up the calendar weeks & my training weeks to end on the same date a pain. If I have a meet 4 months out I have to pick a date around 3 months out as my meet date & hope I didn't screw the math up.
    Other than that, I'm about 3 weeks into my 1st hypertrophy cycle & am liking the app so far. I'm gonna run the 1st macro cycle as written, but I'm really looking forward to tinkering with it on the next cycle. The ability to use the benchmark sets to change an exercise from a volume focus to an intensity focus & vice versa is intriguing.

      We're glad you're on the team 💪🏽. That is an interesting request and one that I'm sure others have as well. Microcycles of unorthodox length would likely affect the SRA cycles built into our program. The solution, as you say, could be to simply schedule peaks based on weeks rather than dates and let the user fit their training days into the schedule. Our team will be thinking about this one 🧐

      @@EvolveAI Guys, what about "muscular stress" seems like a important metric, not even mentioned. Or is it part of the "central stress"?

  • @TheDailySlured
    @TheDailySlured ปีที่แล้ว +7

    The readiness inputs for each body part should be updated with "better" responses for the Powerbuilding. Asking if "feeling tired/weak" isn't the best verbiage maybe for powerlifting but not hypertrophy. So your powerlifting and powerbuilding can't be the same copy/paste. Since it's really based on soreness is a 3 should be the center as in "zero to little soreness" then it goes to increased soreness levels to the left, and lease soreness to the right. Also, you should look at including a metric for "PUMP" that can be extremely valuable especially for Powerbuilding aka "Hypertrophy" because if you aren't getting a pump, then you aren't doing enough of a stimulus for growth. RP by Mike Israetel handles this well in his training templates, and it's a simple thought process, basically if you didn't get a pump add/keep/remove a set to next workout for that muscle based on pump rating (-1,0,1). He actually uses two inputs, "soreness" & "pump" those two inputs add/stay/remove sets for the body parts for the following workouts. so if you only did 2 sets, and you didn't get sore at all, and had no pump, it would bump you up to 4 sets the next time you did it. it's simple but effective. something you should look at for your Powerbuilding.

    • @01minicoopers
      @01minicoopers ปีที่แล้ว +2

      How are you doing the powerbuilding and not getting a pump? You should easily be getting a pump with multiple sets of rir 0-3, which is what most of the sets in the powerbuilding are aiming to do. You should do more amraps with your sets cause your rir probably isn’t what you think it is. If you are truly going close to failure you’ll get a pump.

    I'm using this app now and I feel quite confused about how it works. Outside of selecting the specific lifts I prefer based on the muscle group, I don't know why I need to have so much input if it is powered by AI.
    I've never done 1 rep max so I really have no idea what my numbers are. I do have months of tracked workouts so when I calculate based on the formula provided it comes to a much higher weight than I am capable of lifting. I am now realizing I may have been going to RPE 9+ on most of my compound lifts in the past.
    I still don't understand this benchmark thing or why some exercises seem to give the option of doing 1 heavy set or 2 lesser sets?
    If benchmarks need to be set the app should determine it not me.
    I believe the first week or every time you do a new lift, the app should just tell me to do the prescribed lift within a specified RPE then analyze the results and formulate my future workouts.
    I hope there can be more improvements made to made this app more understandable to people without all the sport science knowledge.
    Your website and youtube channel can also do a better job of explaining how it works in a more direct method.

    I appreciate the flexibility to change rep references and benchmark sets. In the video it is stated to 'not overuse benchmarks'. I am curious as to how they were designed and meant to be implemented.
    e.g. 1 Should I choose a benchmark scheme for a particular lift for an entire block?
    e.g. 2 Should I choose to benchmark sets periodically for any s/b/d lift within the block?
    My confusion stems from tinkering w/in the app. If I ask for a benchmark in the app, it will save for that benchmark protocol for that lift lift for (at least) the entire block (fits into e.g. 1 above). However, if e.g. 2 from above was more the design, I'll have to 'forget benchmark' the next week/training session for that lift.
    Thanks

    • @EvolveAI
      @EvolveAI  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great question. They are designed to be used with one or maybe two squat, bench, or deadlift variations per training session. Most common would be to assign one or two benchmark sets for your primary lift of the day, and perform the rest of the session as written and according to your rep preferences. It is intended to remember your benchmark preference so you can track what works best for you over the course of the macrocycle. Furthermore, consistency will help to isolate the most important variable, which is whether you can move more weight at the same RPE, or the same weight at a lower RPE, from week to week on that lift.

    I'd like to say the following:
    JuggernautAI was fun to use, but two major downsides made me quit using it. One is the price of 35€ per month via the app store. Since credit cards are not that common in Europe I couldn't subscribe via the website directly. Paypal payment for the website would be very nice. Second is the style of periodization and amount of volume. I'm a long limbed lifter and feel like less frequency and less volume are better for me and my ability to recover. When I used JuggAI and also when testing EvolveAI even on the lowest Vol/Freq setting Volume was very high and I had many SBD days. If I was able to say "I want to train 3 days a week, SB-BD-SB" that would be great. If EvolveAI brings more options to customize training like that and the price is little bit lower than 35€, I will definitely use EvolveAI for my training on a longterm basis. The benchmark feature is already a big step in the right direction.
    PS: Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it was possible in earlier versions of JuggAI to add volume manually. I often wished that I could add more volume for back.

    Hi guys! Do you plan in the near future to make also the "coach" version of evolveai? i was thinking about it and it would be kinda interesting let AI programming (like its doing) and you, as a coach, adjust the parameters.
    Basically a platform to manage athletes where you can use (if wanted) IA to write programs and human-coaches correct them (meanwhile IA learn what the coaches does to the athlete and somehow ask why they did that).

    will the app learn an individual's metabolic and central coefficients (which may even vary from lift to lift) or are they pre-programmed in?

    • @EvolveAI
      @EvolveAI  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great question! The metabolic and central stress coefficients at this point are mathematically baked into the system and don't change, they are constants. That said, the benchmark feature allows you to bias your training more toward metabolic stress (benchmarks turned OFF) or central stress (benchmarks turned ON). We currently account for individual user responses to overall volume, and future updates will "follow the athlete response" as Mike T. says by tracking 1RM proxies in accordance with previous training blocks.

      @adamwhisler7678 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have you ever done a velocity profile before? You can create your own VBT/RPE relationship chart for each main lift to get that created for you and have the ability to combine the subjective (RPE) and objective (VBT) metrics to triangulate the decision making process for your own training

But I was hoping the exercises selection would be different but even that is the exact same in between the two apps. Thanks but no thanks, this turned out to be a total dud. My guess is whatever AI is behind the exercise selection it's the same in between these two apps, and probably being sold by the same software company with different people skinning some pre built software with their own branding.
