Keighley Hydraulic Lift Motor room updated with Lester Controls in 2002

- This lift was installed in around 1991/1992 and was fully original up unitil July 2002 when it was modernised by Stannah and installed a Lester Controls MP500.
It’s rather surprising that they replaced the controller after just 10 years!
Do you reckon the hydraulic pump is original or replaced? I’m thinking maybe that the hydraulic had a problem and needed replacing, and they went ahead and did the controller too while they were at it.
That pump is actually original, the lifts used to be Keighley and the pumps for the Keighley lifts in lakeside installed in 1990 are the same as this so it looks as if they just updated the logic. I know that the late 90s early 2000s was a large transition fase for controllers and it might have been easier for them to upgrade the lift controller to be more reliable and easier to fault find.
