HW elites used to be really amazing back when they launched at their retail prices of 80 usd for most models. The problem is Hot Wheels lost the Ferrari license some time in 2013 or 2014 and hasnt been making Ferraris since then, and this has especially impacted the prices of their elites which have only kept appreciating in the last couple of years. For example, both the elite speciale and laferrari have risen to almost 200 dollars, while the baseline Hot Wheels prices still managed to stay stable. So while I would gladly pay an additional 40 usd for perforated mesh, cloth seat belts, photoetched badging etc, these days it's mostly in the realm of hard core ferrari collectors to pay an additional 100 and more for every such model they want to add to their collection. So to me this makes the baseline models more attractive than they were back in the day, also if there's no bburago equivalent available like for example with the 430 or the Enzo. :)

How are HW Elites compared to Bburago Signature? I am able to get some Bburago Signature cars for ~$45 USD shipped. I think they are quite good in values, but not sure quality-wise compared to HW Elite.

How dimensionally accurate are these models to their full size counterparts? Im looking at a hw elite testarossa for the purpose of making plans for a full size kit car (for personal use) and i need to be able to use NOS parts for the windshield, grilles, lights ,etc.
