Thank you for loving Thailand. I believe Thai people love you very much and I am a Thai who has been following you for a while now. I really like your clips. I will watch your clips one by one every day in my free time. or working time 😊😊
Soi Polo over by Lumphini Park is my favorite Hat Yai fried chicken place. Noor chicken looked epic, got to give it a try! Great to see you Gary and to see Max in Thailand! Thai People love KFC with ketchup!
Fire! Knocked it out of the park again Gary! It’s about 7am in Chicago and now all I want is fried chicken for breakfast. I’m on board with your buddy Max; those shallots look to die for. 👏 Will be checking out the latest fam video asap!
Woah, that Ten Six Hundred ad spot caught me off-guard; I stayed there just a week or so ago! Can confirm that the area is much more serene than the other side of the river and full of amazing food! And yes, I can confirm their carbonara is one of the best in Asia 😊
Great video Gary. Just love that fried chicken 🍗 that’s my cooking sorted over the weekend. Nam Jim jaew and fried chicken all home done of course. See you in the next one. 🙏😉👍🏻
Hi Gary, I love using your videos to help me find things to do on my upcoming Phuket holiday. I don't know how i am going to visit all the restaurants you show in my short stay but I am going to enjoy giving it a crack. Thank you...
Yes Gary 👌🏼 I love the hat yai chicken & fried shallots. Ellis got us some on our 1st night in Bangkok. Those rotis too I had one nearly everyday I was there 🫃🏻& always a som tom on the table
Gary - not necessarily this video but I went to the chicken rice guy were Sam Yot. I went last year and it was amazing and the guy’s food is still mind blowing. I was having a chat with him about how positive your work is on small food sellers in BKK and you are a credit man for giving these people a window. Keep up the good work mate ! ❤
Good one, Gary, and thanx to Max also. I'm not really a chicken fan (but Carol has gotten me into wings, which I never had tried, and also thighs, both with sauces and other spices which I have in abundance, Thai and otherwise). I think your first stop would be my favorite, and I also loved the 10-600 hotel which I think might even get Carol to agree to come with me for a visit. We'll see.
Nice vid champ, I used to live in Sutthisan for several years and there was a Hatyai chicken man on the main road we used to frequent, the fried chicken and garlic was delicious❗️ Apparently he had been there for many years 😊.
Hadyai-style fried chicken normally comes with fried shallots on top. I personally prefer fried garlic as a side like Jae Kee's fried chicken in Soi Polo, near Lumpini park. Must try!
Agh! Still saying cil-ANT-tro are we?! :) You must stop catering to the worser side of my American brethren! Ask Max! He doesn't say cil-ANT-tro! And no one else should either. :) Jokes aside, another great and appreciated vid, mate. I'm thinking strongly about a trip to the Vietnam coast. Hope Max is having a nice time with you in Bkk. Chicken and jee-ow(?) .. and Halal chicken and roti. Man, I miss it! It all looks stellar!
Fun fact : The " foreigner sauce " at the first store is actually what most Thais preferred for 'fried' chicken as opposed to the Nam jim jaew, which is more popular with the 'grilled' chicken! I won't take this slander for the Nam jim kai!!! Great video tho, thx you so much for making videos about Thai food!
Hi Gary, have you been the one here, บ่อนไก่ ข้างไปธนาคารไทยพาณิชย์ ซอย ปลูกจิต ลุมพินี Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330, Thailand? I thought of trying this one as polo fried chicken was round the other end
Watched this for a second time with the wife as it was so good. We both agreed that the Muslim chicken was the best but would love to go see both. Will be spending more time in this area when we next visit. For the record I refuse to eat KFC now, always go Korean as I don't have the Thai option.
Mr. Gary Butler, I recommend you open a school. Teaching Thai cooking to foreigners Because you are a person who understands Thai food very well. Thai people want foreigners to correct understanding You are someone who really understands.
Gai Thod Hat Yai is originated in Muslim culture in Hat Yai city, the south of Thailand. Acutually, Gai Thod Hat Yai use small shallots not use the onion like in the video, then the dipping source is chicken dipping source which is sweet and sour flavour. mostly Bangkok, GaiThod Hat Yai were applied. I think that you should come to test the original teast in Hat Yai city or nearly city. I think its a most deliceous fried chicken.
Gary only the middle part of Thailand people eat chicken folk and knife, we southern of Thailand eat Had Yai fries chicken with hand remember to squeeze the sticky rice before you eat it.
KFC used to fry their chicken in lard using the Colonel's 11 herbs and spices. Now they fry it in vegetable oil with a microscopic amount of the 11 herbs and spices, enough to still make a valid claim that it contains the herbs and spices, but not enough to affect the taste. So it's no longer Kentucky Fried Chicken so the thai one for me.😄
as Thai, I would still eat both. both style of fried chickens are different. there's no point comparing what's better since it depends on your preference, but for western fastfood Style fried chicken, I think Texas quality is the best among fastfood chains in Thailand currently.
Thai fried chicken is far better than KFC from my experience, especially fried chicken and grilled chicken in the south of Thailand, juicy crunchy and tasty, you will never forget it. It goes with papaya salad and sticky rice.
I've tried thai fried chicken and still go to KFC in Thailand 😂😂 and im from Houston TX !! If you love chicken your gonna eat Homemade or KFC that is what a chicken lover is all about should be no contest when it comes to Chicken I'm from H-Town so we eat chicken if it's chicken that's the Texas way.
Thank you so much Gary for start using Fork and Spoon. keep on trying, you going to master it for sure I believe. I have Seen You Are trying. You just need to flip the fork side. And the correct way of pulling the fork and spoon together. Once you master is as a Thai people do. Please please please pass this to your farang volk. Not to use only fork to eat food inThailand no more. To enjoy Thai food much much more. Use fork and spoon.
Always down to eat some fried chicken, appreciate you taking me around brother!
It was about time I returned the favour haha
Max go to Thailand(VLOG)🇹🇭🙏

Definitely! His Thai is very good, too.

Agree that 😂😂
555
Once you try the Thai fried chicken, you won't be going back to KFC.
Agreed!
Oh man, I was shocked at how good the fried chicken man in Kanchanaburi was (near the bus station). KFC is a bland, sterile mess in comparison.
@@theroamingcook By the way. What is name Max's chanel?
let’s try spicy fried chicken salad or green curry rice in Thai KFC

It is so good in THL
