    Love the video but you don't show how the small bearings are removed.

    I have had these pedals for 5 years with multiple bearing issues throughout that time, which is pathetic considering they are $150!!
    I like the feel of them even though I knew the bearing system was a joke. So I ordered a new set for my 2018 yeti sb6...BIG MISTAKE!!! Maybe 7 rides in and the pedals are fucked already. I tried to contact customer service this time and they just acted like it wasnt a big deal at all. They will get nothing but bad publicity from me for now on. Thanks RACEFACE

      Same problem, thought it was just with the pair on my capra but when i ordered them on my new Tues they were gone in like 10 rides. Now i cant even buy the replacement bearings. So annoying. I like the feel of them but i think ill be using crankbrothers from now on because they arent worth the money

      5 rides in and my left one is already having issues. Good thing I bought them at Rei. They'll take anything back. Pretty horrible pedals

      Mine lasted 5 rides before both bearings started creaking. Judging from the 20k plus views of this video, it's a big problem. I got a rebuild kit for free after my experience.

    I agree it's a good video but why didn't you show how to get the 3 small bearings out?

      Seems stupid to miss out this step . I used an Allen key to knock out the smaller bearings (outer set of 3). Then I could fit a larger key in to get the larger bearing out . It was easier finding contact with the tool .

    Play on both pedals immediately upon installing. Took them apart per the video and re-tightened, but both NEW pedals still have the wiggle. Is the shaving of the spindle a fix RF endorses since the internet is flooded with this observation?

    8mm allen key from the crank end is used to push them out, there is another vid on here showing how to service them (with goats!)

    I was hoping when I spent $140 for pedals that they would be more durable...

    Hand towels are very awsome to have on the work bench that way items dont roll around very well or not at all

    The axles on these pedals are marginally longer than the 3 outboard micro bearings, so all of them have side play.

    On the non-drive-side pedal I can only get the pedal to work well with two small bearings. Anyone else have this issue?

    • @Juli4n_MTB
      @Juli4n_MTB 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, I have the same issue. I think the axle is too short for 3 bearings. This way the bearings get crushed.

    Noticeable Pedal Play after hard riding. Any solutions?

    • @Ben-mj8rh
      @Ben-mj8rh 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well the 2 bushings he put in at the end don't appear to come with the pedals and once the small sealed bearing slips further into the pedal (and it will as the collar is about 3mm back from wear it needs to be to prevent play). There is clearly too much room on the spindle and putting the non existent bushings that were used in this video in would solve this problem (no idea why they don't come with it) Either source the bushings or just file the spindle down (thats what I did and they re fine now). Very poorly designed pedals

    how to adjust pedal play?

  • @Baris1Eris
    @Baris1Eris 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Same thing here -- right pedal has developed half a mm of sideplay which is quite annoying. Constantly distracting.

    The spindle has completely seized on mine, it won’t come out

    • @nkonovski
      @nkonovski 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Same here, so I just put a old hex that cover spindle axis on the tiny side and use the hammer to get it out. Reason in my case is rusty bearing.

    "Rebuild Instructions"? This was any instruction, it was a video of someone doing it. Not at all the same thing. And not encouraging that RF doesn't weigh in here.

    Lost the green pin cap after about 500km, löst the pin screw after 1200km, then Pedal came off. The bearings seem not perfect as well. After half a year of use i should buy a rebuild set for 40€? No f.. way! Come on race face, i will better spend my money on another pedal from a different provider.
