Steve is broken af and should maybe be banned, but I don’t think he’d kill the game like bayo did. In smash 4 bayo was the main character you’d see in most top 4s. Bayo was everywhere and the players who played her were also kinda toxic sometimes. At least most Steve players are nice people even when they pretend their character isn’t broken (cough WhyDo cough)

No, they weren't worried about acola ever using that either because he's good even without it. He doesn't need to abuse a broken tech when he's already so good and he doesn't abuse it. And it's not a tech you can accidentally do, as evident from the fact that nobody has seen it happen until it was discovered. And of course steve is still a broken ass character even without that, but acola is also really really good.
