Thank you for all the info! For Michal, can you go into specifics about what goes into building the LinkedIn profile? Also, what generally is included in the email sequences (welcome and sales?) for your 10k web package? Thank you!
The fantasy fees thrown around here are wild! New/wannabe copywriters, be wary - I'd want evidence of a $75k ghostwriting gig or these seemingly easy $10K web copy jobs. Can we have specific examples, please? By the way, I've been a professional UK copywriter for 25 years now...
I really want to reply sarcastically here David, but I’ll just say this. I’ve been live-recording myself pitching these gigs every day so far this month. I have a follow-up call with a guy on Thursday who told me my $10k content strategy is exactly what he’s been looking for after reviewing my loom pitch, and we have a member in our Write Minds group that just closed a $12k website copywriting project. If you’ve never witnessed scenarios where people are paying $10k+ for marketing services, I understand that it can feel like a fantasy. Once you start getting into niches where $10k is a small fee, it just feels routine. You can either use content like this to explore new opportunities as a copywriter, or you can keep doing what you’ve always done. We’re gonna keep closing our gigs either way.
@@JacobMcMillen I've always made good money as a copywriter and, like you, encourage people to charge professional-level fees and never sell themselves short - but $75k per ghostwriting project for example, really?
@@davidsandhu2321 well the $75k fee is specifically to write a 40,000 word book, and as Ryan points out, he's not just selling the writing, he's selling himself being the project manager to take the book from idea to physical copy in hand. He charged $20k the first time he did it, but now that he's done it 5+ times, he has the experience to charge 50-75k, which is low/mid market for that service. I'm not sure if you know who Carol Tice is - she had a very popular blog/community for freelance writers - but once she was hired to ghostwrite two books, she dropped her other services and sold her blog/community to just do a book or two a year and semi-retire. I don't know exactly what she was charging, but I know it was north of $50k and I'd be surprised if it was less than $100k, because her blog/community was bringing in $400k per year.
Fantastic video! A mini-masterclass on upleveling your copywriting game. So inspiring for us newbies.
So much gold in the video. Thanks Jacob for putting this interview together !
So much value here. Sorry Jacob, I couldn't make it live. But it was worth listening every second. Thanks Michal, Ryan and Sarah too.
So glad to hear that! Thanks for watching!
