Thank you for this video! It's nice to see a Recology San Mateo Python from a different perspective! Funny how sometimes the blade will move forward to pack and immediately retract back in place, like the truck changes it's mind lol. I love all the slams from the follower blade, you don't get that from other truck bodies. I also love how you put music but it didn't completely drown out the truck. Are you the operator in the video that posted this? It is nice to see more and more drivers give us POV video. I would love to see more!

…about the returning blades, I manually brings it back sometimes clicking the yellow buttons if I am about to grab cans. I try to avoid grab a can during the blade retract, because it causes the arm move faster than normal due to the PTO.
@@trashtrekkertv I see, I always thought something was wrong with the autopack lol. I've seen it lots of times when recording videos, blade falls over then immediately returns back in place, now I know why. Thank you for the info.
I guess I am not the only one then :) We have to be sure it's not packing, specially if the can you trying to grab is close to other can, objects or parked vehicle etc

Heard more than half of the incidends that's related to arm hitting other objects happens during the blade retract phase.
Is it normal for that one part of the compacting mechanism to slam down like that?
