The ASTRO A10 Gen 2 headsets are finally here! They are lighter, tougher, more sustainable, and better in every way compared to the Gen 1 ASTRO A10. They are now kind of a immediate step up to the ASTRO A40. I think these will go down as one of the best gaming headsets of all time. Definitely the best gaming headset 2022.

I have the first A50s for the Xbox one. I need an upgrade that last for ever!!
Don't get the current a50s then, the headband easily warps and the pad will pop out all the time.
Had the gen 2 A50s and no issues, got the gen 3's and had issues within a couple months
Yup I have the Gen 4 A50s and the headband is sooo flimsy doesn’t ever sit straight. Even when charging in the dock, Astro defo gone backwards 🤣
Hopefully they release some new A50 soon!

Light is always nice, I used to have heavy headphones and they bugged me. One thing on these is the earcup holes look a tad small. I have elephant ears that arent allowed to touch anything, so I need jumbo earcups, wide and deep lmao. If anyone with similar headphone issues reads this, I have DT770's with aftermarket earpads, which solves all my ear contact issues.
I still have my first gen A10s from 2016. My cables break before the headset. Such a good headset for the price!
The headband tends to break on me after a while.
These are even more durable but I can't show the demo footage for another two weeks!
I had the same a10, my microphone gave up.
So the sound is the same? No improvements on the speakers? Dang I guess I’ll buy them if my A40s don’t work anymore 🤷🏽♂️

i need a new headset my old TR A40s are uncomfortable to wear now, which headset should i purchase preferably something wireless, comfortable and good for gaming

How is the audio, comfort, and ear pads/headband? I’ve Hurd the ear pads are a bit small and I have medium sized ears so idk if it would be comfortable for me lol.
@@redburn1990 audio seems good, for gaming at least not sure on music as I have a wireless audiotechnica one for music, I thought the pads were small but they overall don’t bug me, haven’t had a sesh over 3 hours with it on yet but at the moment no discomfort or noticeable audio glitches or anything. No complaints on mic quality or anything tho. My old headset was a pretty basic turtle beach one and this one seems more flexible and comfortable overall, hope this helps!

Great products they last a life time although if your rough on the wire it will break. I had animals chew on it and I've replaced it twice.
They will not break. They are with you for live.

Can i ask? Currently this Astro A10 Gen 2 is not available in my country. I would not mind about Budget, can you think this Astro A10 is better than the Razer Blackshark v2(2020) ? I heard about the clamping force on the Razer, i just want to get the Razer because of my ecosystem.I have used the A10 Gen1 since 2020 and i am blown away by its durabilty for 25 bucks(yes i got it on sale best 25 bucks ever spent) But if it is not worth it i will wait for this. Thanks you

@@Javrien damn bro to be honest i will buy og astro 10 since i have a ps4 and the mic is not compatible with ps4 for the new gen astro a10 so yeah ill buy the old gen for my ps4 and all my old headsets snapped and the durability of the old ones are great!

I wouldn’t Recommend the a10 gen 2 I had mine for like 1 month and the mic was playing up my friends was saying I sounded like I was in a tunnel I had to keep pulling the wire in and out so I could sound clear again 😕

I don't know if it's just me but I hate straight 3.5mm jack. I prefer an angled jack for controller input. I tend to damage straight cords
probably a good headset for beginners. with a bit more money there are better options and on pc usb is a lot better

A better logitech g335 but worse headband.
If you don't need/want a microphone, stick with better headsets made by Sennheiser or Beyerdynamic, WAY better sound quality than garbage Astros.
No one in the audiophile community recommends anything from Astro, pretty much all "gaming" headphones are scams. I Passionately recommend KPH40's instead. KPH40 are the best Headphone you can get under $50 for not only reference Headphones (Neutral Sound Signature) but enjoyment equivalent to endgame audio gear that could legitimately be your last headphone. (I've spent $7000+ on audio gear and I use KPH40's as my daily driver)
Not everyone’s a sound nerd that doesn’t leave there house. Gaming headsets are handy to grab, come with microphones and plug and go and multi compatible between consoles
@Crypto K I'm gonna ignore your baseless insult and assume you are a sensible person instead. You can just add a mod mic for an extra $50 to make any headphone* into a gaming one, if only you heard a proper headphone, you wouldn't be defending them. I had one for many years before I listened to people who knew a lot about audio and now I can never go back, why would I want to? and you don't have to spend $1000 to get into hi-fi anymore like I said. KPH40's stomp all over these and any gaming headset. if you want it to be compatible with consoles than get TAG6105 or a Bluetooth module for a headphone instead

@@cryptok9185 ok fair enough, the DT 900 are the brightest treble murder headphones on the market designed for older people in the music industry, they are studio monitors and they don't improve the sound like a musical headphone meant for enjoyment does so that might be the reason you didn't like them, not really a headphone I'd recommend but there was recently a new headphone that's not treble murder, just sharp detail and imaging called the PC38X, but then again I don't believe that better headphones = better player, its just an immersion thing.
