As soon as I saw you sniffing your deck, I was like, "Heck yeah!" 😂😂 I always inhale of any deck I'm using before I shuffle, lol! I LOVE Mixtress Rae. I enjoyed this video. 😊❤🃏
I loved this, made me laugh along keeping up with the brain. I did feel like a brownie might be a perfect snack - and I don't even eat those things. So theres an insight into my own wonky cogs 😆 books for tarot : I honestly think read one beginners book with key meaning and brief description, one on your chosen system and maybe one in the advanced ability realms, the rest are reference books for deeper dives when the learner is ready. I generally find all the books mind numbing to read cover to cover, attention span = 3. I truely appreciate those who do, and then share the paragraph that made it worth while. As for the cards images, I could read just aswell with no images, plain cards and written card name. 🌞
FEEL this. References are there for the ready. "share the paragraph" LOL. I feel like this, as well, sometimes, like the tomes may only have one or two good sections with NEW info. I think that would be a good exercise, read some blank cards with nothing but words/numbers on them and see what comes up!!!
I agree! For me, once I learned what numbers 1-10 refer to and what each suit refers to, well it's half in the bag! The majors & courts require a bit more study. Those dang court cards always trip me up, I just can't seem to remember them. Maybe I need to do practice readings with just cort cards for a week to get them in my skull, lol!
I looooved this! I always get kinda caught up in the "am I supposed to talk about all the associations when reading tarot"dilema and sometimes it's super frustrating. Also since there are moments when some things about a card make sense in my head but I can't "quickly" explain it to someone without explaining tons of other things about the card to the person. (I've recently been reading with your Quintessential Thoth a lot btw and it's been really awesome!).♥ Alsoooo I recently made a video using your deck and I also got the Prince of Cups there lol. He seems to be pretty active these days.😆
OMG, this is SUCH a thing. Like, how to boil it down even when it feels important!? Thank you for your Quintessential support and love. That means a lot to a creator. MWAH.
So fun. I think all the associations help me see tarot out in real life, and it makes me so happy to be ruminating on how tarot can talk about any and all aspects of my life experience. But when it comes to reading for another person, all that matters to me is communicating the primary message. I like to think all my ruminations help me be a better reader, but I agree with you that all that really matters is the minimal info on the actual card (number picture and title).
I loved this so so much. I have lots to say in response, but honestly my favorite bit was at the end was when you said, I’m gonna pick a card and not say anything because maybe it doesn’t mean anything. Then you were like, no, archetypes are everything… and then totally talked about card and connected it to the theme of the whole video! I freakin love it. It doesn’t matter, but it all matters. ❤😊
I own you two thoth decks and would absolutely love to know what you were thinking when you made them. I think that does matter, at least to my nerdy self. ❤
I love to hear you talking about how you chose your symbolism for your Thoth essence deck. So cool. It reminds me of when I try to talk to someone about a mixtape I've made them and why I chose each song. So much thought went into your work; probably more thought than a lot of tarot decks made these days, for sure.
I agree that the archetypes are EVERYTHING and they're everywhere. Lately I haven't been using the cards as often because that symbolism I learned from tarot (from my own symbol dictionary inside my head AND the book-learnin') is reflected in everything around me. It's comforting. Loved this video, Lennan!
I'm so happy to hear from you. I was so inspired by your talk about these subjects. You're so right, the archetypes are everywhere. I see them so often it's like I have tarot glasses on all the time. LOL.

Here too. Sending good thoughts Oh! MIixtress can read a dictionary and I'll listen like it's a bedtime story. ❤
LOL. Right!
@@LennanSmith omg I'm blushing. ;)

@@NYCHFAN have you watched Simple Tarot on YT, Angie's series includes easy use of court cards.

There must be something in the waters (LOL) right now. We should all sit with the PofC and see what he is trying to tell us all!!

See. I agree... they work and aid my readings but then I can get further confused, especially at the beginning of my practice!

Haha. I knew someone would catch that. The cool thing was that I couldn't seem to help myself... LOL. Like, I pulled then immediately began sharing.

Thank you. I hadn't thought to write out my thoughts, but, hey, maybe someday!!!
