How we can stop salamander regeneration ability?

  • We know that salamanders are exceptionally good at regeneration. If you cut their limb, they can completely regrow a new limb. Even they can regenerate their heart and nervous system as well. But can we stop this regeneration, or can we force a salamander to make scar tissue instead of regeneration? So, let's find out.

      yeah, normally it would do. But if you manipulate the immune system they can't. It was an experiment to show that they can make scar tissue but a variety of factors help them to regenerate their limb or their heart.

      So they can naturally produce those tissues that help them regenerate their heart No need for intervention

      yeah, exactly. That intervention help us to know why our body prefer scarring rather than regeneration. For example, targeting macrophages would be a great idea to help our body regenerate instead of scarring.
