  • This list can be subjective, and I'm interested to hear what people think about it! NES games all vary in length, but some are notoriously shorter than others; that's what we're talking about today!

NES Donkey Kong only has 3 screens, the "pie factory" is missing from the NES version which pissed a lot of people off (including me). The majority of NES games can be completed from start to finish in 20-30 mins on a perfect playthrough. The reason why they were so hard is so you had to grind and the game would take longer to finish.

When I make these videos, I tend to avoid the "I know everything paradigm" for like "how long a game would go". You know? Great list. Felix The Cat is another very easy and pretty short game. Here's a few more from my games beaten list (keep track of completion times):
Golf (complete 18 holes, score doesnt matter)
10 Yard Fight (win a match , took me 21 minutes)
    Breakthru (25 mins)
Caveman Games (shitty, but just participate in every event, score doesnt matter)
Commando (a few short stages before it loops)
Donkey Kong Classics (a complilation with two of the easy games shown in the video)
    Exerion (24 minutes)
All 3 Fisher Price games (super simple)
Ikari 3 and Guerilla War (no consequences for death, respawn where you died)
Rampage (same thing, respawn where you died basically but takes a little while and is tedious, not super short)
    Mickeys Adventure In Numberland
    Mickeys Safari in Letterland
North Vs. South (3 minutes, but it helps to look up a speed run)
Othello (win a match but this can take a while)
Remote Control (17 minutes. May be a trivia game so can use a tablet or phone)
    Renegade (short)
Pinbot (get a certain score to win. not too bad)
    Rescue The Embassy Mission
    All 3 Sesame Street Games
Ski or Die (just participate in all events)
Spot The Video Game (took me 3 mins first time playing)
Spy Hunter (4 mins, game loops after winter background)
Wheres Waldo (different waldo game than the video)
All 4 Wheel Of Fortune games (25-30 mins each)
Win Lose or Draw (6 mins)
Xenophobe (max out the score, very easy game)
Winter Games (just participate in all events)
Wizards And Warriors (almost no penalty for death, theres one slightly tricky platforming section at the very end)
    World Games (participate)
Double Dare (Believe it was a quickie. Think you can fail the final challenge and still win)
Yie Ar Kung Fu (save state practice on each opponent is helpful, then put it together legit. Weird ass controls, but just find the exploits for each foe)
Wurm (remember this being very easy)
I left out some sports games, Japanese games, unlicensed games. Also avoided games that may be short but are difficult. Some games I used glitches to beat quickly like Ghostbusters and Home Alone, which I have tutorials up for on the channel. I went through my list of 228 beaten NES,Famicom games. Some older KILLS I dont have times documented since this was well before recording was easy to do. So there is games I dont remember how long they took. If anyone is KILL hunting I can offer more info for ALL platforms as my main focus is high volume completions and filling out what I call the KILL LIST.

I’m not knocking the list, because they are legitimate entires, but of “regular” games (not repeating platformers or gimmick games) I’d have to say off the top of my head “the magical Kingdom” was ridiculously short. I remember buying it in the store with my mom when I was 9 years old. We were constantly broke so it was a treat to get a brand new game, but she set the budget that day at $20. The only one that looked even halfway interesting at that price based on box art was this game. Got it home and literally beat it in 30-40 minutes and that was my first time playing it. Tried to take it back a couple days later and the store refused (stores used to actually stick to their guns on those types of things back then). Brought it home again and every once in awhile would dust it off. Eventually could be the game in about 15 minutes
