    in the G code, towards the top, is usually the command to turn on the spindle, M3. Following M3, with a space on the same line,
    you can add S10000 to set the spindle speed if it isn't there already. Takes 5 seconds to edit the file.

    How would one use the CA glue and accelerant trick when cutting ABS sheets? The Accelerant contains Acetone which will dissolve the ABS sheet if any overspray reaches it?
    I suppose you could fully coat the back of the ABS sheet with the tape to prevent overspray and then still just use the 3 strips of glue on the waste board.

    • @PawPawsWorkShop
      @PawPawsWorkShop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The ca glue is between the two pieces of tape. It should not leak out onto the acrylic

    Hi what do i need to do when my machine is not working in inches as my design??

    • @PawPawsWorkShop
      @PawPawsWorkShop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You have a setting wrong somewhere. If you design in inches then perhaps the post processor is in mm. You’ll need to check the settings in each of the software that you are using from design to output.

    Hi,i would like to buy this machine.My question is can i easily upgrade the y axis with 2 longer aluminium profile ?Also i see some parts are screwed on the y axis aluminium profile.They are removable right?Thanks!

    • @PawPawsWorkShop
      @PawPawsWorkShop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it is possible to add longer rails. One thing to consider, this is a very lightweight entry level machine. You will most likely need to add a means to strengthen the rails as well as the whole machine.

    Just curious - If you just used a smaller bit, would that not have corrected the problem?

    • @PawPawsWorkShop
      @PawPawsWorkShop  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, but it would have changed the entire look of the project. The bit diameter was only part of the project

    Thank you for the great information. I have been thinking about getting a cnc machine to use in an apartment. Although space is limited I wanted to have as large of a cutting area as possible.
    I was thinking of Genmitsu or maybe a upscale machine like onefinity but for now this looks to be a better choice especially at the $550 price point.
    My question is: I am planning to cut/mill mainly styrofoam , plywood and maybe some wood/mdf. I don't think I will be cutting any metals. Do you think this machine will be reliable for that? Also noise is important since I live in an apartment do you think it is quiet enough for that purpose ?
    Lastly how can I keep it clean while cutting, want to minimize dust.
    Best wishes and congratulations on the nice reviews.

    • @PawPawsWorkShop
      @PawPawsWorkShop  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, the machine can do that. I would get the upgrade 300watt spindle. The spindle is quiet. The vacuum is most likely louder than the CNC. As far as the dust, keep the vacuum going

    • @efficientequilibrium2982
      @efficientequilibrium2982 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@PawPawsWorkShop Thank you very much for the answers. I hope you don't mind a couple of more questions. I was actually thinking of the spindle upgrade. I used to have a makita router , how would you compare such a router to the 300W spindle ?
      I was also wondering if the difference between XE and this version is worth it if metal carving is not a priority. They look the same other than components but I realized that Masuter is listed as a bit shorter on one axis (15.75 XE vs 14.95" for masuter).

    • @PawPawsWorkShop
      @PawPawsWorkShop  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Masuter is much lighter weight. Smaller stepper motors. Most likely you would outgrow this one quickly

      @@PawPawsWorkShop okay, so I'd have to upgrade and get the pro or XE? Looking to have a CNC cut out wood coat hangers and other stuff for business, just don't know if the 60W base spindle is capable, and if you can even upgrade the spindle to a more powerful one, if that even helps. can you not just resize the SVG in inkscape and re-import the vector? that would be a lot faster.
    Or in Inkscape, click "Path" then "Simplify" that will remove extra nodes.
    Also, while in Inkscape, bring your StarWars logo in. Select the logo and right click it. Then click trace bitmap. then click "OK". That turn your image into a svg vector.

    • @PawPawsWorkShop

    • @PawPawsWorkShop

    I think you could save a lot of editing by telling the program that your router bit was smaller than it is
    Like maybe .100.
