True. During the ages 16-18 I weight over 65 kg. Started loosing weight by 19 and got rid of all my baby fat before becoming 20. By then I weight 54 kg. All my friends said I looked prettier but my family disapproved but I like the slimmer me now. That feeling you could finally wear those cute clothes it was worth it.

Since her debut, she has one of the most beautiful bodies I have ever seen in the Kpop industry. Let's be honest, unless you have naturally a skinny complexion due to fast metabolism, etc... (i.e. Sowon or Yuju), It is absolutely normal to store fat because we are women, with hormonal ups and downs. The important is to have healthy food habits and to workout at least 3 hours per week. Following any of the multiple unhealthy diets idols are forced to follow (just for showing skinny shapes and that most of the time are pretty dangerous and may lead to several problems such anorexia and bulimia) is just insane. Please, do not contribute to criticize people (in general, not just idols, but in particular women. Why are we always putting the focus on how women look but we do not do it on men? ) for their appearance. We do not know what is inside of their minds, if they are having a bad time or just don't feel comfortable with himself. If you mean muscle overweight then yes being overweight can be safe if its because of muscle, but if its someone who has barely any muscle at all and is overweight it's not healthy, ever :/ I'm overweight myself, and not a big amount, but most people who are overweight don't realise how much their fat percentage is. Especially if the person is also short, or VERY tall, because the BMI which most people use actually isn't very good at measuring a very short persons BMI or a tall persons BMI, which ends up telling tall people they're fatter then they actually are, and short people they're healthier then they actually are. And there's a difference between skinny and underweight, so it is true people who are naturally skinny and have a hard time building muscle can be healthy, and people who are ''overweight'' but its muscle and their fat percentage is healthy are also healthy~ But if someone is underweight when they never were, or overweight with a high fat percentage can never be healthy in the long term :) But it is true that the 50kg standard of kpop is ridiculous, since some people also have more muscle which can easily tip that scale :( But luckily Umji figured out what works for her

At some point in my life I was probably almost as chubby as Umji during "Me Gustas Tu" era and since I'm a huge fan of GFriend and Umji (she's my female bias, because I could kinda relate to her struggle and she's just a very sweet person in general), when they came back with "Fingertip" I've noticed her change and decided to lose weight as well. We are pretty much the same age and we both share the same problem - chubby cheeks, but since I've lost a lot of weight without any surgery, I can tell that she most likely also did it without plastic surgery. It is possible even if you're naturally a bit chubby and have chubby cheeks. Even though my body now is a little bit underweight, my face still looks a bit fat, but not as fat as it used to be (it definitely looks like I 'shave my jawline'). Umji inspires me everyday, because she is kind, determined and passionate about anything that she does. I'm so proud to call her my bias and thankful that she inspired me to change.

Yeah At 12:16 it doesn't look like she gained weight in a bad way, but just went through puberty. Her face during love whisper and summer rain era looked slimmer than it did in fingertip. When I went through puberty/grew up. It's like my cheek bones got higher or something, my face became more defined. And my torso was shaped like a ruler before, but then it became more hourglass like. It's like people don't understand how puberty works.

I actually miss her when she was at her heaviest and also with her "worse" styling. She didn't look like a stick like most idols at the time. I was appealed by netizens (both from forums and knetz) attacking her. All of them had to eat their ugly words! When she started losing weight, she just returned to her pre-debut visual but with better styling. She always looked gorgeous, but her confidence and hardwork makes her glow.

True. During the ages 16-18 I weight over 65 kg. Started loosing weight by 19 and got rid of all my baby fat before becoming 20. By then I weight 54 kg. All my friends said I looked prettier but my family disapproved but I like the slimmer me now. That feeling you could finally wear those cute clothes it was worth it.

Since her debut, she has one of the most beautiful bodies I have ever seen in the Kpop industry. Let's be honest, unless you have naturally a skinny complexion due to fast metabolism, etc... (i.e. Sowon or Yuju), It is absolutely normal to store fat because we are women, with hormonal ups and downs. The important is to have healthy food habits and to workout at least 3 hours per week.
Following any of the multiple unhealthy diets idols are forced to follow (just for showing skinny shapes and that most of the time are pretty dangerous and may lead to several problems such anorexia and bulimia) is just insane.
Please, do not contribute to criticize people (in general, not just idols, but in particular women. Why are we always putting the focus on how women look but we do not do it on men? ) for their appearance. If you mean muscle overweight then yes being overweight can be safe if its because of muscle, but if its someone who has barely any muscle at all and is overweight it's not healthy, ever :/ I'm overweight myself, and not a big amount, but most people who are overweight don't realise how much their fat percentage is. Especially if the person is also short, or VERY tall, because the BMI which most people use actually isn't very good at measuring a very short persons BMI or a tall persons BMI, which ends up telling tall people they're fatter then they actually are, and short people they're healthier then they actually are.
And there's a difference between skinny and underweight, so it is true people who are naturally skinny and have a hard time building muscle can be healthy, and people who are ''overweight'' but its muscle and their fat percentage is healthy are also healthy~ But if someone is underweight when they never were, or overweight with a high fat percentage can never be healthy in the long term :)
But it is true that the 50kg standard of kpop is ridiculous, since some people also have more muscle which can easily tip that scale :( But luckily Umji figured out what works for her

At some point in my life I was probably almost as chubby as Umji during "Me Gustas Tu" era and since I'm a huge fan of GFriend and Umji (she's my female bias, because I could kinda relate to her struggle and she's just a very sweet person in general), when they came back with "Fingertip" I've noticed her change and decided to lose weight as well. We are pretty much the same age and we both share the same problem - chubby cheeks, but since I've lost a lot of weight without any surgery, I can tell that she most likely also did it without plastic surgery. It is possible even if you're naturally a bit chubby and have chubby cheeks. Even though my body now is a little bit underweight, my face still looks a bit fat, but not as fat as it used to be (it definitely looks like I 'shave my jawline').
Umji inspires me everyday, because she is kind, determined and passionate about anything that she does. I'm so proud to call her my bias and thankful that she inspired me to change.

Yeah At 12:16 it doesn't look like she gained weight in a bad way, but just went through puberty. Her face during love whisper and summer rain era looked slimmer than it did in fingertip. When I went through puberty/grew up. It's like my cheek bones got higher or something, my face became more defined. And my torso was shaped like a ruler before, but then it became more hourglass like. It's like people don't understand how puberty works.

I'd love to see an Eunha video! She has a naturally more curvy leg shape and always seems to slim down during promotions. She also always talks about how she can't diet and such. During fingertip she also announced she'd stop dieting but of course she still slims down during comebacks, so I'd love an in depth video on her dieting history and such.
