    Last year on my trip to Mongolia on Kawasaki KLE 500 I did on Mitas 07 regular rear 20.000km and I m still on it 24.000km. Front Mitas 07 regular I destroyed on 18.000km.
    Bike is 200kg but less power than Tenere, perhaps that is the reason.
    Good luck Pavlin👌

    Hi Pawlin, just put an E07 plus on my KTM 1190. This is my 4th rear I ride probably 60/40 street to dirt ride I would say harder than average in all conditions dry hot cool and wet. Live in British Columbia Canada riding is varied challenging overall great. I average 11 to 12,000 kms on rear and if you can believe it just purchased a new front. First front has about 35,000 kms its the only front I've purchased since the first one. Now running an E07 Dakar on the rear we will see how far that does and as for the front well, we shall see so far awesome and still in not bad shape. My friend says I should put the front wheel down more and that would change it's mileage...
    Heers from Canada Mitas solid performer great value without compromize. 2 thumbs up

    The E07 Dakar (not the plus) lasted 25k km with me on a BMW F800GS. At least 5k km were offroad, quite rocky. Another 10k km in the twisties and 10k km on the highway. The nice part of the non plus version is that from 140 wide and more it has a center line that is giving it a massive advantage in terms of how long they last. I used them on trips to Marocco and Greece with high temperatures and also did my daily commute even in winter at -5 Celsius.
    They are great in the dry, on and offroad. In the wet on asphalt, they are a bit tricky but not impossible to ride or anything like that.
    I spoon them on myself with a Motion Pro Aluminium Tyre Lever kit. Not easy, but doable.
    Can definitely recommend them.

    What do you think about Mitas E08 for mainly asphalt with possibility of some bad roads. They say 80/20 road off-road. All year riding. For Aprilia Pegaso Trail 660

    Thanks for sharing! I Just installed the regular E-07 on my 2001 Honda Africa Twin..about 220kg wet weight. Very curious how long they will last. Heading to Morocco and back from the Netherlands this fall !

    I put on a Mitas E-07 Dakar right before my 2 week trip. I did 5,000 miles (8,000km) and its still going good. It's wore down, not quite as much as yours, and I'm sure I will get another 1500 miles (2400km). I was loaded much heavier than you are, so I will probably get less distance out of them. I thought they did great and was surprised how long they lasted, and how good they were on pavement and dirt.

    Pawlin, just did a 10000 km scandinavia tour on normal mitas e07 on the rear, e07 dakar in front, on a 650 v strom, mainly tarmac, maybe 98%, there is still 5 mm profile in the middle left, for me good enough on wet streets also!

    • @nomad5176
      @nomad5176 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good score. Scandinavian tarmac is specific, guite harsh. Tyres can disappear quick.

    My E07+ just died couple of days ago - after ~20k km on r1200gsa bumps and wrecks appeared on it and I had to replace it urgently. Dakar version is made of the same compound as far as I know, just has stiffer sidewalls (useful when you got flat).

    Impressive.
    Especially as a lot of the mileage is on hard tarmac at the moment.
    No better recommendation than actual use.
    Safe, happy travels 👍

    Great info. I also used mitas tires after your recommended them but I prefer 08 model. I rarely get 8000 km from any tire. Probably it's because I accelerate and brake harder, and the bike is heavier. As you would say it, it is what it is. Have a nice trip.

      @somestuffithoughtyoumightl6985 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are so many variables to tire wear. Weight, terrain, aggressiveness, temperature. My bike (Super Ténéré) has an unusually hard engine braking due to fuel mapping, so the rear gets all the acceleration and most of the braking too.

    If you need to make it last, take the Dakar. Usually you need more performance in your region. As always it's a compromise. All the best for your travels, Günter/Nürnberg

    I have these on my KTM 890 Adventure, and I just come back from Corsica trip. Still have about 3-4mm thread left, and I am on 5000 km right now. My riding style is stupido :-D I am testing this tyre very very hard :-D Hard pulls, strong braking, sliding back on tarmac, so I expect to get about 8-10 000 km from this tyre which is fine to me considering I enjoy stupid style riding all the time :-D

  • @o0Bananaphone0o
    @o0Bananaphone0o ปีที่แล้ว

    Might be too late for you, but I would recommend you getting the Mitaas E13 as a front tire with the E09 Rear. The E13 have got way higher profile and last way longer and du much better in dirt than the front E09, while still working really well on roads an lasting longer.
    Tube Type only, but not a problem for you 😄
    Anyways, enjoy you trip and stay safe 😎

    I have e09 on the back and that type last something around 10-15 thousands
    I had e07 (not + and not Dakar) and back done something around 25000km on my old transalp, but traction was really horrible
    Now I prefer e07+ front and e09 rear
    Btw, I almost never don't ride faster than 90/100kmh

  • @gasdive

    Slightly off topic, but still "how long will it last?"
    I just replaced the tyres on my V-Strom.
    About 90% road, 10% dirt.
    Front Michelin Road 4 I got 33,000 km. Still legal.
    Rear Michelin Road 5, I got only 17,000 km before running over something sharp at the scene of a car crash. It was about 2/3rds worn.
