People also need to stop building in areas prone to flooding and using taxpayer funds as insurance. One property in Houston was flooded 16 times and required more than $800,000 worth of repairs - several times the value of the property itself.

Easier said than Mr J.T. people move wear they can afford to pay monthly. Did property owner give a heads up that it was a flood zone? U should bring the $800,000 or STOP TALKIN... #TedCruz is on his 3rd term and hasn't help fix nothing in Houston or Dallas

It is always good to listen to SEN. Cruz.
I am positive, at this time a great comfort,
    to those who are suffering.

Can’t wait in the end to hear how much was wasted or went somewhere else. It never fails.

Exactly!!! Texas needs to spend money on. Upgrading their grid!!!

@@gailcarmack2954 the problem with the Texas grid are the federally mandated 'green' energy installations which have destabilized it. otherwise, every electrical grid is wires and transformer stations. there is no magical upgrading that can really be done to hurricane proof outdoor infrastructure

Cruz is a lot of things, but he understands the politics around the shitty federal interaction with Texas and the neighboring gulf states in times of need.
    And this isn't new -

Shitty??? Biden has already said he is ready to release federal funding. Currently trying to get ahold of the Governor. So he can go the necessary paperwork. Notice the Governor isn't there.

I am positive, when SEN. Cruz wishes to take a
holiday with his wife and daughters
he can afford to do so,
without taking money which is not his !

Some one please tell the zionazi's that are "playing the HAARP" in Alaska like deaf musicians in the Babylonian Philharmonic that Mother Nature is extremely disappointed in the kind of music they're playing and will not hesitate to retaliate if they don't change their tune!

sheesh, I agree that HAARP is used for bad things, but come on, hurricanes aren't being created by that.

why should people who have had their money stolen by the Feds not get their money back when in need? your comment only would make sense if there was no federal reserve income tax being extracted from the people

@@nullentry6032 You realize that, in addition to funding social programs and schools, income tax also sustains our military. You would not be concerned if we had no national defense? "Render unto Caesar---".

@@blondhairblackstrat oh social programs, you mean bureaucracies overpaid and over pensioned. the income tax was promoted as temporary to pay for one war, lie. when you say 'render unto Caesar' that means that the People have the right to not use Caesar's coin as well, don't you? all you care about are your government hacks getting to profit off of the wages stolen by tax
