I have never seen this movie - but what stands out to me is that the Blu-ray transfer had excellent detail already, and the 4k one makes minor color-grading adjustments without altering the feel of the movie Sometimes a color grade will overemphasize reds/pinks in lighter skin-tones, or give some other sort of cast to the whole movie. This just looks like a careful restoration back to the original cinematographer’s intentions
Tyvm for this review and comparison. I am a die hard Wickerman Fan but don't have a 4k TV at mo. I would pick up the 4k just to add it to the collection but if i was a casual fan I'd stick with the Blu-ray. It already has an amazing amount of detail and sound quality
