I played on this thing as a kid when it sat in the park. I've been on trains it pulled twice since it's restoration. I am looking forward to them completing this job.
I miss her I miss her I miss her, she was the star and beauty of the itm and her whistle made me cry she has been locked up for over 5 years and I want her back and running so I can hear her whistle again! SHE WILL NOT DIE!
I agree with you to a point. If I see a lot of DL locomotives, I'd be pissed too. But if they have that Susquehanna E9 unit, the Erie E8 unit, the Juniata Terminal Pennsylvania E8 units and Lackawanna E8 units, I wont complain
aw, not in time for the 2010 Convention? That would be awesome in the steamtown roundhouse to see 759 and 587 side by side. Maybe throw 765 in the mix?
I am very suprise that the 587 will be back soon. It seems like the people who made the movie 587 The Great Train Robbery need to remaster the movie and release it again to have the 587 known again. Every time i watch the movie i think of the 587.
So now I'm curious. How far along is the re-build? I just read some comment that they are riveting the boiler? How much work is left to do? I wish I lived closer. I'm in South Bend and would love to spen some weekends doind what I could to help.

Last Saturday (opening day at the ITM) the employees let me inside the repair shed. It's covered in rust, but it will live on. I believe it!
I plan to do something along those lines, since I live about 45 minutes away from Scranton
Excellent video!!

Thats because she was a USRA light mikado.
It would be awesome to see 587 at the 2010 Convention. It could do a double header with CN #3254. A Mikado Double-Header
I believe this loco. was starred in a film? If so I loved it as a child but cannot remember the title.
Lol I'm not I'd be videotaping the whole time. I'd just go to see it all. I'll be 18 in September

736berkshire in 2002 nickle plate road 587 made a final run. Now how was it least back in service in 2005?
That's depressing. You could always transport it by truck haha
i think 2011
Why did CSX take that track out?
My understanding is that it's off a scrapped Berk. Does look pretty out of place, eh?
