    Great review! I just cannot stand the thickness of those pop sockets, so I’ll stick with a ring holder. It is unfortunate that we can’t use wireless charging without taking the case off because of the ring. I would think the manufacturers could use a material for the ring that would allow wireless charging. I just hang the ring on a small adhesive hook in my car so I don’t need the magnet. Although your magnet holder does look like it would hold a phone more securely and not flip around like mine does sometimes. Thanks!

    Just watched your video. So, I have a similar problem where I would like the I option to mount the popsocket grip to either a popsocket mount or to a magnet mount. My husband has the magnet mount in his car and I have the popsocket mount in my car so I need the flexibility to switch. I can get it to works if I put a circular metal plate inside the head of a standard or original popsocket, but now I don't have the option to swap poptops. How can I open the very top of my swappable popstop so that I can put the metal disk inside and be able to use either car mount? I can't seem to pull it apart. Please advise.

    Before I got to the end, I thought ‘why not just do both?!’

      @MamaBanana  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hehe it quite thick using both, but definitely my preferred way 😀
      I find same with the PS when using upside down for a long time, so I do prefer having the 2 together so I can use whichever & switch between.

  • @honeypower

    I just bought a ring and it works surprisingly well on my big 6.5" phone, but its not ideal. My fingers are too thin for the ring and of course the phone wobbles and feels kind of loose when holding it though still much easier to reach all corners now. Is this a common thing? I'm thinking a popsocket may be better?

    • @-helloworld3631
      @-helloworld3631 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, is it difficult to remove ring stand holder? Does it scratches the back of the phone? Or the pop socket one? Which one is easy to remove?

    • @MamaBanana
      @MamaBanana  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The pop socket is much easier to remove. The ring will depend where you are buying from, but generally if you pull hard enough it will come off, shouldn’t leave scratches, just glue residue. Glue residue can be removed with oil like a cotton pad soaked in olive oil. That can then be removed with a soapy cloth.

    • @MamaBanana
      @MamaBanana  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think it will depend on where you got your ring from. Mine is nice & secure, doesn’t wobble. I love both the ring & Popsocket, but both have different pros & cons, hence y I use both to get the best of both worlds 😊

    hello!! that's a very useful video and exactly what I was looking for!!
    i have a question though, i know PopSockets are able to be removed, cleaned and then sticked to another phone
    is it the same case with phone rings? can you unstick them and stick them somewhere else or are they one use?

    • @MamaBanana
      @MamaBanana  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching.
      The phone rings usually attach on with 3M type stickers which often break apart when ripped off a phone case. They are not generally reusable, unless if you scrape off the thick sticker residue & replace with another sticky pad tape. Hope that makes sense.

    I know this video is kind of old now, but in case anyone sees this and is considering getting the Pop Socket car mount - if you have a big phone, I'd avoid it like the plague. It would not stick to my dash properly. Every 5 mins, I'd be driving and my phone would fall in between my feet. I tried it several times and still couldn't get it to work... It could have just been the material that my dash is made from, but I won't be buying another!

So when I pull the ring out to use as a kickstand, it’s only recently that the ring won’t stay standing. Think that’s pretty good considering I use it frequently throughout the day to prop my phone up at an angle 😄
