Marketplace SuperHeroes, I’ve also really enjoyed the case study videos of member superheroes who are ahead of us beginners in their journey by maybe a year or so. It’s inspiring to hear how they launched their first product because possibly that will be the steepest learning curve to accomplish.
If your Amazon business has had at times 50 SKU's and up to 300 SKU's, dies that mean each product was it's own unique brand or do you lump many different products into a brand? Also, is it possible to have many different brands and multiple Amazon seller accounts?
When up to 300 we were selling other peoples brands via wholesale too. At say 50 SKUs it is all our own stuff under 3 brands. You can have different brands in one seller account but multiple seller accounts is tricky.
Hello Stephen, you guys don’t talk about the storage fees for those big items. Isn’t it pricey to have 500-1000 big items stored for a year at an Amazon warehouse waiting to be sold?
Not particularly - storage is based upon a rolling rate which means that as you sell more, you store less. Also typically with larger products, they have a higher FOB cost (not always but in many cases they do) and so you're not going to be storing as many units anyway as you would've negotiated down the order. It all depends but there's really no reason why you'd be storing 1000 units of a big item other than it's killing it and you need that many which will really negate any storage cost issues anyway.
Marketplace SuperHeroes, thanks for your quick reply. It makes sense what you say, thank you Stephen. By the way, I am officially part of the Marketplace Superheroes family, looking forward to embarking on this journey with you guys as my mentors.
