It’s not that I didn’t think they exist, but I’ve just never seen something like that in person. And it’s not just me. I know so many people that believe certain things are just not achievable because they’ve never seen it themselves, or met anyone else that has done it. And for me that was the Lamborghini. I knew they existed but to see it in person just changed everything. I got to talk to the guy that owned the car and he told me he started off the same way I am right now. Nobody ever gave him much, he just found a way to make it happen. It was an eye opening experience for me that made me realize I can achieve my dreams too. But that would’ve never happened if I had stayed in my hometown (where Lamborghini owners don’t exist). I hope that explanation made it a bit easier to understand.💯
Sometimes you have to move away from your family and circle of friends to establish a new identity to propel you in life. Discover who you are outside of them and see how far it takes you. They will be there when you reached your destination.
Seeing this has made me think, when I’m done with high school, I low key might leave my hometown. It was always when I’m in school that I say it, but I think hometown is pretty boring. Although, that’s another thing. I like how uneventful my town is sometimes, and I’ve grown up my entire life here, so having to learn the landmarks and roads of another city, let alone another state is already stressing me out- I can’t even drive yet!
I would have ended up being one of those people who get stuck in their bubble but not me my great uncle made sure to show me the reality of the world other places and people talking to them is very important because only then will you be able to truly realize how different each part of the world is
You are 100% right bro. i moved out of my city during the Covid lockdown to my grandparents farm far away and rebuilt myself almost completely in all 3 ways physically, mentally and spiritually. i am no hillbilly tho my grandma remarried to a white man🤣. Couple years later when i went back, I slowly started to lose myself again. my mindset wasn't like how it was when i was away. it was my fault for moving back just to be closer to family again, and also living with narcissist grandparents. don't get me wrong they're good grandparents but they feel like they're very important to everyone's business, they let the media tell em what to do and its either their way or the highway. i had to learn and figure out why they we're acting that way cause it was just a weird feeling so i left. I dislike the comfortable feeling though, its gonna ruin my life. I'm working right now so imma try move to the next city within 2 years. after that i wanna move back to the Philippines. lived out there for a year in 2013 when i was 9 and I got some cousins there willing to help out so I'm thankful for That. All my life I've actually been moving but i always end up back here. my real hometown. DONT be like me, don't move back. what i wrote out may not mean much but everything you said is real shit💯 You are right, Thank you for this video. I subscribed.
but yea environment definitely and especially with the way the us is alot of the time u ain’t gotta go far and if u in the US other countries too cus the American influence, same can be said for foreign countries like if u in latin america shoot its a lot of latin american countries out there same with french speaking english speaking all of thay

Please make use of free TA every year for college while enlisted if you aren’t already. Engineering/IT is the way to go for a career. Invest in retirement to get that 10% TSP. Please make sure to use that GI BILL AFTER you get out… stay out of debt. You’ll be on your way to a 6 figure career shortly if you listen to me… good luck brother.
I’ve been out the military almost 2 years now. I agree with you though, this is great advice for anyone still in. Plenty of people don’t make the most of the benefits they have and once they’re out they have nothing to show for it.

Houston is nice man💯. I like it out here and the cost of living is way cheaper than most other major cities. As long as you can deal with constant humidity you’re good. 👍
