Wow! A review!
Working on this project has been nothing but amazing for me. I'm extremely grateful for Gourd giving me this opportunity to help out with animating. Even if we've been working on this for, what, about 2 years now, it still brought a smile on my face once the premiere happened. Seeing all of our hard work in all of its glory is... something else. I love it.
Also, what you said at the second part... basically took the words right out of my mind about the current state of the VT community. Once someone popular and talented does something, and if that goes well, people are gonna copy off it to the point that it's not even funny anymore. Wilkins Coffee, Scott The Cuke, ASDF VeggieTales, you name it, they've probably done that already. I'm actually *shocked* once you said there are EIGHT re-animated projects announce shortly after Re-Molded came out. I've had a couple instances where people announced that I was helping out with a couple, even though *they never reached out to me and gave me the offer.* Please, do better, VT community.

I honestly agree with you on this. Like, I hate saying this. But some fan projects starting up after Re-Molded's success already are feeling pretty rushed. And that's completely anti-thesis of what makes "Rack, Shack & Benny: Re-Molded" so special. It was a project of passion and dedication because people liked the idea and wanted to make it happen. It's a remake of an episode that was great then and now made even better. It wasn't made prematurely just to jump on a trending train.
To members of on-going fan projects who see this video and my comment: Please. Just take the time do it right. And it's ok if it doesn't release according to schedule.
A delayed project is eventually good. A rushed project is forever bad.

I'll say that while I'm part of one of those projects, yeah, the Re-Something Collabs is getting a bit much and out of hand. Heck, ever since then and since I've made art promoting it, some people wanted Isaac, Tyler and Gabriel: Re-Waffled. Like, what?

I have to agree with everything you said. There are so many collabs people are trying to make (jumping on the remolded bandwagon) and I honestly wouldn’t be against some of them if it weren’t for how disingenuous they feel.
Like, Gourd’s project was clearly a project he wanted to create. He had his own vision for remolded and knew how to put together a team. But these people seem like they just want to make a reanimated collab. Not like they have a specific idea in mind. No spark. It’s not like some way to “bring the fandom together” or anything. (And I even if it was, if that’s what they want, they should just join retold or revitalized.) They just want to make a collab, and it feels so much less natural… and it course the names are ridiculous

Couldn't agree more with the second part. I also dislike the repetition in the fandom, but if there's one thing that bugs me to no end about the other "Re" collabs, it's the titles. They're not even real puns. At least "Little Joe: Re-Wrangled" would have made _some_ sense
Also I should point out that there actually was another theme we "borrowed" from another VT product. The theme that plays whenever Mr. Lunt or the executives show up was re-used from The VeggieTales Show. You can hear it the most in "Samson's Bad Hair Day".
Interesting. It’s been a while since I saw Samson’s Bad Hair Day.
But yeah, some of these titles could’ve been better put together. “Re-Saddened,” for example, could’ve been Re-Stocked, since it plays into the overall theme of consumerism that Madame Blueberry dives into.
I’m already bugged about the amount of collabs going on, but the terrible pun names just push it to my limit 😭
@@JY_Studios I had an idea for an Are You My Neighbor one being called "Are You STILL My Neighbor?" but i dont think that would have made the cut anyways.

are you still my neighbor, as a title, would make sense since its technically supposed to be a remake of the original which is liiiiike 30 years old i think, idk how else to explain it
This Rack, Shack, and Benny: Re-molded review reveals a lot of fun stuff about this incredible fan-project that these talented animators have put together. And I highly agree with you with everything you said about it. 👍

Do you think you could list which episodes are currently being "remade" right now? I'm making a list of all the remakes just to keep track, and some of the ones you listed I couldn't understand very well.

Aye, Thanks dude! 9.9 out of 10, Blessed and honoured to be a part of this. Great review. I don't imagine many of these "Re-whatevered" projects will be finished. It's an insane amount of work to get something like this done.

You make a really good point there what you said about the re-Collab things, plus I’m not even gonna like the remade project of Little Joe cuz I don’t like the fact that Jimmy Jerry and Mr. Nezzer we’re screaming at the top of their lungs and staring closer to the camera, it just freaks me out!
Edit: And another thing, those episodes from the 2000s, they don’t need to be reanimated, it looks exactly how it should be. So I would suggest not try to reanimated stuff that’s how the design and the animation should be.
I’m not against the idea of 2000’s remakes (since some can definitely work), it’s just that people are going for some of the more popular episodes. (In the original take, I went into greater detail how remaking what’s already well-known isn’t automatically gonna be a goldmine (which is something DISNEY needs to realize at this point), it’d be weird for someone to remake Star of Christmas just with different visuals, unless someone was willing to do something new and daring with it (unlike the crew that worked on ‘Twas who took the script for Star, and reworked it into something that was terrible.))

@@TheComputerNerd20100 Honestly, yeah. I know a lot of people would jump into saying this project is one of the best things to exist, but I’d love to other opinions on this collab. (Though, that may be because this project was taken off of Letterboxd so I can’t read any differing takes some people would give it.)
