This piece is really beautiful...you did a great job as always! I do have a question; why didn't you paint the inside of the doors for a more cohesive look? Thank you, Sab...looking forward to seeing you for the next project!
I typically don't paint the inside of cabinets. One reason being that usually only the owner sees the inside not other people so it is more work with no major benefit in a way. The second being people usually put belongings on the shelves, inside buffets, and those items get pulled in and out often so a painted surface has a higher risk of scratching than a none painted surface. I will paint the inside when a client requests it for a custom order or if the inside is a harsh clashing color like red or something.
Gorgeous. This transformation goes to show that it's not enough to have a great piece to work with. Just as important or even more so, is to know what you're doing; have the vision and even the ability to sometimes change course as you go, if necessary. Lovely end products.
Just gorgeous! Serenity is the perfect name for this color. So calming. You always do remarkable work and are amazing at teaching us how you do what you do! 💖💖💖
This is beautiful! I can see why previous owner got stuck. This a fairly advanced piece, if you don’t have a plan and you are a beginner. I’m glad you were able to return it to being a beautiful and well-made piece. Thomasville for $100! That’s a deal, especially in your hands since you have serious skills!🌸
Beach Beautiful!!! So pretty. I can see this piece with all my beach thingys and pictures of fun vacations!!! You just showed me not to be afraid of wicker!!! Love this!!!💙💫💙
Sabrina: this piece looked so bad, but you turned it into such a beautiful buffet. I loved the color so much. It certainly was supreme. I am enjoying catching up with videos I missed. I hope you sold this piece and made a great profit. It's so lovely.
I know what you ran into with the wicker. They are manufacturing wicker with a resin finish. I don't care for it myself. Your solution was great, though. I love that color of Serenity. It actually does make you feel serene. Good name. You shouldn't have any trouble selling this piece. 🙂
Thank you! I wasn't a fan of the resin wicker either, definitely not what I was expecting. Originally I was going to go with a natural light wicker color (or at least hoping for that) and then paint the body a cream color to make it a very neutral piece. It all came together nicely in the end though. ❤
Gold wicker may not be the worst Idea. Gold wicker vs. white paint on the other hand definitely is. Still, I'm thinking now if a gold wicker (or other detail) against a decent dark background (black or a nice dark wood, like walnut) might not look very nice. Then again, maybe not on this piece speicifically. I think Sab went just the right way here with the "relaxed pice for the spa/lakehouse" style in this case. But maybe some kind of "HIFi-Rack" or "Box of magical boardgames" kind of thing might do well with the gold-wicker style?

I love this piece. It’s so coastal and fresh. I love the blue and white and the fact that it’s not bright blue and bright white. It’s so pleasing.
What a difference! 👌
I wish you were closer ! I would absolutely buy this
🐼 Big Bear Hugs from a 68 yr old grandma in Kirby, Texas, USA 🐼 ❤ 🎀 ❤ 🎀

Hello Sabrina. What a beautiful transformation. This piece looks brand new. Lovely color.👍😮
Awesome job matching up the hinges to the hardware. The 2 tone look is my favorite, especially with coastal vibes 😍 Beautiful, Sab!

Absolutely!! So true!
Very coastal. I could see that in a beachy coastal house setting. Or even a hotel, resort, spa, setting.
