    Us woodworking guys also has some glue similar to that black stuff - balcotan....sits on your hands for days before the oils in your skin shakes it loose - looks like something bad has happened to you and people stare....lol. Great job man. Geing an IT guy I have old HDD's and they have super strong magnets that I use for my welding stuff - welding magnets suck to be honest.

    Nice! Thanks for the tip on the por15 can. That’s a great idea to use a couple of screws. Take care!

      Thanks Keith! Yea, I learned that years ago. POR 15 is so expensive that it makes sense.

      @@rennch. You do everything and capture every moment, and in summary it is absolutely not boring
      -very very, only one guy with silver 996 and orange 901 Carrera RS (I'm sure you know this channel) is close enough to you

    Early on, you said Eastwood was on board. Maybe you could get some of their cavity wax or rust encapsulator to use inside the rockers later?

    This was great to watch. I'm going to borrow an everlast pulse mig welder for panel work.

      Eastwood makes a similar product and comes with a decently long hose for getting into sealed rockers and channels. Good stuff!

    You were wondering about what to use on welded metal. Here is a 3M product it’s called weld-thru coating. Here is the 3M part number#051131-05913, I don’t know if 3M still makes this product it came in a spray can. I Purchased this product back in 1992 was when I was using it restoring a 1955 Chevy pick up truck. It’s silver and it has zinc in it and it’s to protect the backside of metal that’s being welded.

      I picked up some copper weld thru primer a month or so ago...it's been working well!

    Your building a great channel, love the process. try using a GoPro and a gorilla pod to get extra b-roll.

    • @rennch.
      @rennch.  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Timothy Troke Thanks. I have an extra iPhone I might be able to use, but it’s hard to work on the car and focus on a bunch of creative shots at the same time. I’m doing my best not to take the easy way out and just use time lapse all the time, but I can definitely see the appeal. I spend many hours editing these videos to make them as tight and efficient as possible while Still telling the story as best I can.

    You are putting a 996 turbo engine in it?

    • @rennch.
      @rennch.  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No sir...but Bisimoto offered me a twin turbo GT2 motor...that would have been crazy!

      R.J & Co Thanks brother. The metal was so thin that if I moved up one more level I was blowing through. I’m not quite experienced enough to figure that out yet, LOL.
