Lana is absolutely perfect for this role. She know exactly when to lower her voice in such a way that makes you want to know the reason behind her response.
Exactly! She constantly keeps her audience on the edge of their seats with expectation. You only leave satisfied enough to want to come back and watch more and know more. In this scene when Regina simply states "You can stop me." there's a low, even tone in her voice that is uncharacteristic of her usual bluntness. And I ask myself was there actually a little kindness in that sentence? No! It was a challenge. But then maybe it was some encouragement or did Regina just let it slip that she really does believe in Emma?... As you said, you want to know the reason :)
Emma and Regina are really good for each other. Emma keeps Regina grounded and Regina pushes Emma to her fullest potential. They both believe in each other.
That's why have a theory you know how I know him in an episode of once upon a time like in season five when Emma became bad I think that Regina will kiss Emma and then that will break the curse and she will become good again

I love how these two went from being enemies in the beginning, to now almost a mother/daughter bond (Regina being Mother, Emma being daughter). Whenever Emma needs to be pushed (or protected) she doesn't go to Snow.....she goes to Regina. When they are in Camelot and she's fighting the darkness......she trusts the dagger NOT to Snow or Charming or Hook....but to Regina. Because she knew Regina wouldn't exploit that power over her.

When Regina first started teaching her to how use her magic she told her to use her anger to light the fire. It's good to see magic created without anger/hate/evil. Since it's based on emotions like Rumple said, then it looks like this one was done from a fear of dying, self preservation. Looking forward to seeing what she can do with magic created out of love.
Am I the only one who thinks that Regina acts more like Emma's mom than Snow? I wish they would just be best friends, they won't because the writers made Emma bring back Marian but they have such good chemistry together. Between Regina and Rumple, they act more like her parents than her parents, it's now wonder it took so long for Emma to call them mom and dad.
I agree that they really should become friends. They've done the whole enemies thing, and i feel like they have now been through enough together that they could actually make a really cool duo. They could have one of those friendships that involves a fair amount of affectionate insults and gentle teasing. Charming and Snow are still her parents; but let's not forget one thing, Regina is her step-grandmother. I do agree, however, that there needs to be more parental affection shown by Charming and Snow toward Emma. Especially now, that she has fully excepted them as her parents and storybook as her home. I feel like, there needs to be a scene, similar to the one between Snow and Arura. For example, (The scene where she has the nightmare about the red room, and Snow comforts her by helping her fall back to sleep. Emma needs to dream about watching her mother die in fairy tale land. Aurora gives of the young innocent princess and could get away with being afraid of nightmares but Emma is self reliant modern woman, she's not the type to talk about her nightmares to Snow. She'd probably tell Henry first, Hook, and maybe Rumple if she thought it was supernatural. Plus, there is an underlying apathy towards Emma, she's not their daughter, she's the 'savior' and that puts her on a pedestal away from them mentally. I mean, Charming and Snow have spent more time with Henry than Emma in a family setting because mentally they want a kid. Which is why the replaced her as soon as they got to fairytale world. In the end, Snow and Emma are the same age and were friends first and it echoes in their relationship. Emma and Regina on the other hand had to deal with each other and learn each other's secrets in their attempt to get Henry. I think the lack of friendship in the beginning and then having to share Henry causes Emma to lean on Regina's experience as a mother. And Emma now needs to learn magic and with Rumple out of commission, Regina is the best to teach her. The problem fundamentally is that Emma doesn't need either Snow or Charming because all they do is dump their expectations and problems on her to solve while giving nothing back. Regina at least is a proactive character who can team up with Emma, or school her in this case, to solve problems or push her preconceived notions to make her question her assumptions in life. Regina doesn't mind playing the bad guy, which makes her more mom like than Snow. Snow still clings to the princess/queen title despite the bandit background and I think ultimately won't push Emma to be more.
I completely disagree with your analysis of the relationship between Emma and Snow and David. First of all, to say Emma doesn't need Snow or Charming is completely disregarding many terrific monologues and dialogues throughout the seasons on how difficult it was for Emma growing up an orphan. Her personality is derived from being orphaned as a baby and so her tendency to push her parents away and to always have a strong demeanour actually demonstrates how much the inner child does need them.... more than she'll probably ever admit and more than her parents will ever be able to understand or know. The moment she had with Hook while they were trapped in Rumple's urn about missing her parents really captures her inner struggles and is a moment she sees for herself just how much she needs them. And I don't see it as Snow and Charming dumping their problems on her and expecting her to solve them, Emma takes on these problems all on her own because that is another strong personality characteristic of hers. And yes, this season more than others, (while Snow is pregnant and after the baby is born) it seems like the effort to reach out to Emma on Snow and Charming's part is less but to me, that's on purpose. The writers are brilliant with this subtext. They've created an underlying essence of sadness in the very core of the show, and therefore, a perfected irony, that the 'happily ever after' characters never quite getting their happy ending: nothing can replace that missing 28 years. All three of them know this and so as they 'play family' the air of sadness and irony is and will always be an incredible substance and flavour to their plot.

Yes absolutely and I can truly be any other billing she is her power is the most powerful out of all of them but there are people that no more knowledge over magic that thing is it Emma doesn't know a lot about teleportation or Chris and use me earlier shape shifting or some other socks and some other stuff but if she knows all the other stuff that you can truly be the most powerful person but I see that her powers almost as equal as regina because she has light and dark magic But at the same time so I think that Emma is truly the most powerful one because she is a product of true love

I believe Regina already confirmed that Emma is more powerful. Can't remember the episode name, but it was the episode with Ariel, and Regina wanted Emma to use the looking glass to see across realms to find Ariel. Regina stated that her magic wasn't power enough, but Emma's was, which is why Emma was able to do the spell.

She was born powerful, so just imagine how strong she'll become once she starts learning spells. She's also the savior. Her magic is going to keep growing and growing. Regina's currently tapping into light magic. I do believe Regina will be a force to be reckon with though. She's already skilled with dark magic, and now she has access to light magic, as long as she remains good. Although, Henry may end up being the strongest one by the end of the series.
Yes, Emma is definitely more powerful than Regina. However, at this point, Regina was more skilled; she had, after all, bee practicing magic for years. I believe Emma was more powerful because she, for one, was the product of true love ad was born with magic, whereas Regina had it "thrust" upon her.

I believe Regina already confirmed that Emma is more powerful. Can't remember the episode name, but it was the episode with Ariel, and Regina wanted Emma to use the looking glass to see across realms to find Ariel. Regina stated that her magic wasn't power enough, but Emma's was, which is why Emma was able to do the spell.
***** Yeah, I do believe Regina will become even more powerful. I still don't believe she'll be as powerful as Emma though. Emma is light magic. She's the actual product of true love. She was born powerful, so just imagine how strong she'll become once she starts learning spells. She's also the savior. Her magic is going to keep growing and growing. Regina's currently tapping into light magic. I do believe Regina will be a force to be reckon with though. She's already skilled with dark magic, and now she has access to light magic, as long as she remains good. Although, Henry may end up being the strongest one by the end of the series.

I believe Emma was more powerful because she, for one, was the product of true love ad was born with magic, whereas Regina had it "thrust" upon her.
