So glad you did this compilation, so all this deliciousness I can find now easily. Taiwan 2024 fir me. Can't wait and can't wait to eat my way through the country too.
It always amused me when heather either had no idea what she was eating, or was just had no idea how to describe what was eaten (please take this as a compliment). Not you two edited 85min of food stuff……. This video just gave me 85min of smile. This video just made my day!! PS. Bill, you are awesome too, but since this is food video, I have to give heather more credits
You two are amazing. Always mentioning the key points. You must very expert and enjoy in delicious food so you can notice the differences and similarities very precisely. And use very delicate words to describe and introduce who never have tried. Very precise and well observed. I am Taiwanese who love eating and I have to stand up and give you applause! And thank you for being so open to try, being so good at introducing, and still kind and smart at the same time. Thank you!
Gotta say, I love how open minded you guys are about food and actually able to appreciates so many different varieties of foods in Taiwan. Not a lot of Americans can do that. I am especially impressed by Heather. Some foods might not be as quite as she expected but she still go for second and third bite to … investigate it 😂 until she’s sure of the taste. That courage is rare to see in Americans , most people would just jump to the conclusion and give it a 👎🏻 . Glad you enjoyed it, you guys are awesome 👏👍🏻
Love your compilation video. Number 22 is a plant base jelly called “Ai Yu” only found in Taiwan, to make it they take the seeds from the plant and stuff it in a cloth bag, tie the bag up and rub it repeatedly in a huge bowl or pot full of cold water. Something inside the seeds will react with the minerals in the water and amber color jelly will form. Let it settle for about 2 to 3 hours in the fridge and you got your jelly. Cut it up and serve it up with brown sugar water and a hint of lemon juice is the best during summer hot days. Since it is plant based, the jelly will revert back to liquid if not consumed within a day or two.

So glad you come to Taiwan and enjoy your Taiwan STYLE ! But as a local in Keelung , I would like to correct 3:29 this is from Keelung Night Market 😀 ❤ and the bun tasted like fish because they put little dried shrimps in it~ But Obviously ! the most important thing is you enjoy it a lot , that's great !♡♡♡

Love this video because it complied all the delicious goodness Street food in Taiwan! BTW, the potatoes balls are actually sweet potatoes ball. But looks like the smashed potatoes were wrapped inside of mochi. Thanks for sharing!
In case of I missed any episodes, I watched this summary to assure that I have watched all the Taïwan series 🎉. Mais non, also for your smiles and witty conversations, I love to watch this video!
The strawberries are covered by boiling sugar. When it’s cooling,it wears a hard sugar coat. The green one inside the donut is not seaweed. It’s some kind of pickle.
The deep fried sweet potato was sprinkled with “plum powder”, so a bit sweet, salty and fruity sour. This type of fried chicken stand is everywhere in Taiwan. People like to eat it for night supper (late night snack) because it is full of sin🤣 and go well with beer/drinks and movies.
Hello Heather and Bill -- We were so happy to find 60 FOODS TO TRY IN TAIWAN Your presentations are so personal and the videography is top-notch. We will visit Taiwan for a month and want to experience the various food stalls and restaurants that you did. We are prepared to view 60 FOODS again, stopping and starting the video, so we can note the food and vendor information in the upper left hand corner. Before we start that work I want to ask you if you have a transcript/visit log/etc. that would have all that information. If you can share it we would appreciate so much. Continue your excellent work! Regards, Larry Mehl Peggy Mendelson
Hi! Thank you so much for finding your way to our video. 🙏😊 You can look at the transcript on TH-cam, but I don't see a way to download transcripts. We hope you fall in love with Taiwan just like we did. ❤️😍
The one you have is so called First steamed and then fried in low heat oil so the skin is chewy. The skin is usually a mixture of starch, rice starch/sweet potato starch. If you go to Tainan, there are the other kinds of meat balls which are steamed only instead with pork or scrimp filling, extremely nice. The skin is soft then.
Thank you’re for your loving Taiwanese food and very good recommendations. Next time when I need to recommendations to other foreign friends about Taiwanese food Just Sharing your videos it’s will be very helpful.

The green one inside the donut is not seaweed. It’s some kind of pickle.

I am Taiwanese, but I have never been to many places. Your videos are great.
You guys have eaten a lot of Taiwanese food. It’s amazing.
it's interesting to see two americans eat what we are used to eat.
Hello Heather and Bill --
We were so happy to find
60 FOODS TO TRY IN TAIWAN
Your presentations are so personal and the videography is top-notch.
Regards,
Larry Mehl
Peggy Mendelson

23:37 The bread is called “twins”. It looks like two pieces of bread stuck together
Thank you! That one was a real mystery (but delicious!). 😁
Nice video 😂
