So glad you did this compilation, so all this deliciousness I can find now easily. Taiwan 2024 fir me. Can't wait and can't wait to eat my way through the country too.
Gotta say, I love how open minded you guys are about food and actually able to appreciates so many different varieties of foods in Taiwan. Not a lot of Americans can do that. I am especially impressed by Heather. Some foods might not be as quite as she expected but she still go for second and third bite to … investigate it 😂 until she’s sure of the taste. That courage is rare to see in Americans , most people would just jump to the conclusion and give it a 👎🏻 . Glad you enjoyed it, you guys are awesome 👏👍🏻
It always amused me when heather either had no idea what she was eating, or was just had no idea how to describe what was eaten (please take this as a compliment). Not you two edited 85min of food stuff……. This video just gave me 85min of smile. This video just made my day!! PS. Bill, you are awesome too, but since this is food video, I have to give heather more credits
You two are amazing. Always mentioning the key points. You must very expert and enjoy in delicious food so you can notice the differences and similarities very precisely. And use very delicate words to describe and introduce who never have tried. Very precise and well observed. I am Taiwanese who love eating and I have to stand up and give you applause! And thank you for being so open to try, being so good at introducing, and still kind and smart at the same time. Thank you!
Thanks for putting all the delicacies in one piece, this video will definitely be the one I would recommend to visitors those come to Taiwan for the 1st time.
Love your compilation video. Number 22 is a plant base jelly called “Ai Yu” only found in Taiwan, to make it they take the seeds from the plant and stuff it in a cloth bag, tie the bag up and rub it repeatedly in a huge bowl or pot full of cold water. Something inside the seeds will react with the minerals in the water and amber color jelly will form. Let it settle for about 2 to 3 hours in the fridge and you got your jelly. Cut it up and serve it up with brown sugar water and a hint of lemon juice is the best during summer hot days. Since it is plant based, the jelly will revert back to liquid if not consumed within a day or two.
Holy smokes, this is a feature length vlog! So, grateful you guys took the time to compile all these different foods you enjoyed. My friends in the states always curious why I'm so picky (critical) when it comes to food, Chinese food in particular, and now I can just point them to this video. WoW! You ate so many foods in Taiwan. That was fantastic. There are still a lot of Taiwanese foods to explore. They are waiting for you to come back. Do you miss the food in Taiwan while you are back in USA?
Oookkk, I think this will be the base of my meal plan when I go back next month 😂 Thanks 👍👍👍👏👏👏 Just FYI, there is a delicacy, steamed sticky tofu, that you guys have to try when you return to Taiwan. It's not as pungent as the fried ones or in a ma-la hotpot. It's quite good, IMO.
In case of I missed any episodes, I watched this summary to assure that I have watched all the Taïwan series 🎉. Mais non, also for your smiles and witty conversations, I love to watch this video!
Entering October when temperature drops, there are seasonal hot pot restaurants opening for business in Taiwan. You guys can do three episodes featuring each main ingredient: lamb, wine chicken and ginger duck. They are all delicious. You guys won't be disappointed.

So glad you come to Taiwan and enjoy your Taiwan STYLE ! But as a local in Keelung , I would like to correct 3:29 this is from Keelung Night Market 😀 ❤ and the bun tasted like fish because they put little dried shrimps in it~ But Obviously ! the most important thing is you enjoy it a lot , that's great !♡♡♡
Oh nooooo!! We checked all of our spelling and locations multiple times and you're absolutely right - that was in Keelung. 😭😭😭. Thank you for catching it, even if we can't change it anymore! 😊
The deep fried sweet potato was sprinkled with “plum powder”, so a bit sweet, salty and fruity sour. This type of fried chicken stand is everywhere in Taiwan. People like to eat it for night supper (late night snack) because it is full of sin🤣 and go well with beer/drinks and movies.
The strawberries are covered by boiling sugar. When it’s cooling,it wears a hard sugar coat. The green one inside the donut is not seaweed. It’s some kind of pickle.
Yes! I (Heather) tried bringing an entire night market home with me and Bill said it wasn't practical. 😂😂 Instead I settled for some rice, tea, a few snacks, and some trinkets for family and friends. 😊
Thank you’re for your loving Taiwanese food and very good recommendations. Next time when I need to recommendations to other foreign friends about Taiwanese food Just Sharing your videos it’s will be very helpful.
Looking at the filling of the Train Cake, it is Red Bean Paste, for sure! My favourite!!! The squishy dough is a red bean pancake - my favourite again. Gold Miner's Pie filled with Pork Floss. The filling is another favourite. Bubble Tea - Taiwan's contribution to world obesity 😂
Thank you for making this vide to show so much delicious authentic local food in Taiwan. Actually, there are still lots of delicious local food in Taiwan not in this video. Hope you can make part 2..:)

Haha. If I had a nickel for every time something didn't taste how I expected... 😂😂 It was truly delightful to try so many new things in Taiwan! ❤️

Well written ❤

Oh nooooo!! We checked all of our spelling and locations multiple times and you're absolutely right - that was in Keelung. 😭😭😭. Thank you for catching it, even if we can't change it anymore! 😊
If I ever miss Taiwanese food, I'll pull up this video and watch it to quench my thirst!
Us too! 😂😭😂
I am Taiwanese, but I have never been to many places. Your videos are great.
I do love how you describe food and also I learned lots of vocabularies from your video, THANKS!
😂 😂 I really like that the fried salt & pepper mix is filled with sin. 😁😁
The strawberries are covered by boiling sugar. When it’s cooling,it wears a hard sugar coat.
The green one inside the donut is not seaweed. It’s some kind of pickle.

I’m so glad you guys visited Taiwan and tried all the food even in my hometown, Tainan.

Did you buy souvenirs back to US? Curious.........
Yes! I (Heather) tried bringing an entire night market home with me and Bill said it wasn't practical. 😂😂 Instead I settled for some rice, tea, a few snacks, and some trinkets for family and friends. 😊
Bill you are a lucky guy! Would you go back to Japan without mask? I d love that!
We'd definitely go back to Japan! We'd love to explore more of the nature there. 😍😊
