I spent a lot of time there when I was in the Navy back in the early 80s. Where's the street leading to the old base? Is that Magsaysay?
Yes. At 9:45, he makes a left onto Gordon. Just before he turns, you can see a green fence at the end of Magsaysay. That is where the old s-- river bridge used to be.
Nice video very clear..Olongapo City always a clean city...can not wait to go back my beloved hometown
Glad you enjoyed it
I've always wanted to go to the Philippines

Hii,mam baka po may friend ka na Rhea Ang name Dito sa olongapo?
I miss the Philippine rain. I miss the bar hopping and clubs there when the Naval Base was still active. I miss the no stress lifestyle then. Less hectic, less crowded. It's been 30+ plus years.
Thanks so much for watching and subscribing =)
I was WESTPAC aboard the Midway 76 - 78. Liberty @ Subic nine times. It looked nothing like it does today, in this video. I hope to go back sometime, to see it for myself...and hopefully find a good pinay. No more western women for this old salt.
I walked that street many times back in the 1980's.
Iba pa rin talaga linis ng olongapo
Wow, rainy Olongapo!
Yes, all day every day ha ha
Do you ever seen Subic Bay Johnny? He likes to film the same area in the rain almost everyday.

Just want to thank you for this area you are walking at in Olongapo.
When I'm in the Philippines I stay in Olongapo for several days and the one place I do frequent when I'm there the Club "Willis" and at 5:11 you walk past it which gave me good memories. When it is safe to return to the Philippines I will be making my was down to Subic after Angeles City. 😁👍🏼😁👍🏼
Glad that i can bring back some good memories, thanks for watching 😊
Thank you very much😘I miss my City❤️
My pleasure, thanks so much for watching!
Believe or not, this is a GHOST TOWN compared to the heyday of the U.S. Pacific Fleet visiting. There were times you couldn't 20 feet down the street for the mass of Sailors and Marines either stationed at Subic Bay or on Port of Call.
Your channel is always filled with amazing and cool content! You never disappointed me once!
Glad you enjoy it!

See everybody wearing a mask outside ,is this mandatory ? In the U.K. we only wear on public transport , shops & businesses
Unfortunately yes, there are even some areas where the Face Shield is required along with the mask outdoors!
