Thanks for your question. IMS stands for Integrated Management Systems, which is a combination of 2 or more ISO standards and systems (commonly ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001). ISMS stands for Information Security Management Systems, which is solely ISO 27001. I hope this helps.
Hi Symphony. With an Information system bachelor you would be very well qualified to enter this field. You could start off with Quality Management Systems as the base (which we have courses in) and then Information Security (ISO 27001) which don't offer just yet but watch that space in 2023! Depending on where you are located internships may be available. I know that in the US they do have an internship/apprenticeship scheme but I am not aware of this anywhere else. All the best - Jackie
