Insulting rice makes it rot? (Masaru Emoto Water Experiment)

  • Can insulting rice for an entire month make it rot?
Can loving rice for an entire month keep it fresh?
How much influence does our consciousness have on our surroundings? How can the power of the mind change things around us?
I was recently exposed to a unique experiment that explores just that. Skeptical as I was, I set out to try the experiment myself and document the process.
Inspired by a Japanese man named Masaru Emoto, I filled up three jars with rice, and labeled them "love" and "hate". Every day for the following month I talked to each jar with the according emotion.
This experiment is referred to as Masaru Emoto water experiment (also Masaru Emoto rice experiment)

This was entertaining. I commend your commitment and the quality of the video.
Remember to control better for environmental factors with any experiment. The "Love" jar got more sunlight and as such did slightly better in the early stages.
Also, you spoke with the "Hate" jar standing up, which, from the footage, seemed like it got more of your breath on it.
Regardless, I'll remember to use this video to help debunk some superstitious folk's beliefs. cheers.

Good experiment. I think, that a little bit of difference in the beginning could appear because of the how long you were openning each jar. It would be much better not to open it. Because if Hate jar was closed faster it could get lesser ventilation. Also it was standing further away from the window, which could influence the experiment too. Anyway it didn't worked out as it was expected :D But I liked the speech in the end of te video. Good one :)

Actually many people in the comments noted how I should've cooked the rice. The reason I didn't do it was because Dr. Retter (with whom I was consulting the experience) suggested to use uncooked rice.

Speaking as somebody with a scientific background (healthcare, specifically nursing) this isn’t the craziest thing I’ve ever seen. I actually think that there is merit to it so long as the experiment is performed under rigorous scientific conditions and repeated a multitude of times garnering the same result. Who are we to establish we have figured out the entire universe, right? We can’t even figure out how to resolve conflict and equality so who says we understand everything? In my personal, clinical, and scientific opinion, we don’t understand everything, in fact, we most likely understand only a small fraction of a small slice, of what actually comprises reality

@@jtvegalso from what I’ve heard what you’re saying is wrong. The guy who disordered the hiv virus studied this as well as multiple other people in labs across the world and were able to replicate the result of water being effected by words and other input which is really the point of the rice test to say that there’s a molecular effect created by vibrations and emotions operate more like the magnetic field of the earth and therefore have their own field and can transmit a signal. Others like Rupert sheldrake have studied things in the same realm
Also why would you say it’s been studied and not provide even one study that did this? Also any in the science community don’t like this and I don’t trust their studies. They absolutely assaulted another scientist who put this idea forward. The Science community is very domestic and always has been hence why so many icons of it were attacked in their time.

I think the results will be striking. The water treated poorly will be darker and not have absorbed as much water, and mold will be dark and possibly black. The water treated with love will be fluffier and not dark like the other rice. If any mold, it will not be black.

@ 8:14 - what's happening is the classic Pygmalion effect. Of course, water has memory and emotions and responds to your state of mind. And that is why the results of experiments can vary so much. It's because you are wanting one jar to pass with flying colours, that it does. And you want the other one to crash and burn and so it does. The key factor is your will, your intentions and they are triggered by the state of your mind on that day, at that time, for that situation. Water is one of the most powerful part of our lives. And we're made of it, mostly. So imagine how you change the way your energy works, just by changing the way you treat water, inside of you, around you and on this planet. ☺️
Love and best wishes to you from India. May your life be rich with beautiful experience and may you be able to help others live such a wonderful life.

I think maybe using cooked rice offers clearer results, I've seen Emoto use both cooked and uncooked. Also no need to abuse the olfactory neurons :) I would definitely keep the lids shut tight!
The vibrations of love and hate are very strong, you only have to reflect on how you feel when shown either of these emotions. I think the most profound element of these experiments is the effect of ignoring. That the level of destruction is surmountable to that of hate carries a strong message particularly when dealing with young, old or lonely.
Imagine what could be if every human could only offer unconditional love!

I think actually he should have covered the jars so he couldn't look at how they were changing and yes not open them....if this is an intention experiment it also has to do with quantum mechanics. Not being able to see the inside would have put that superposition effect on the jars and IMO the desired effect of intention....not sure about cooked or raw rice

I am hoping that the experiment can somehow be successful. Because Emoto's theory turns out to be pseudo-science (just read a few articles trying to search for proofs, as I have been believing this for a long long time 😂)

In the original experiment by Dr Masaru Emoto, he spoke to his rice in Japanese. Does the rice understand Japanese? No, intention is an energy, and energy can be transferred. And, the the pharmaceutical industry thrives when the population’s health does NOT. Don’t think that big pharma has the intention to heal nations, that would put them out of business.

      _"Intention is an energy"?_
I know many woo peddlers bandy the words frequency and energy about like they know what they mean, but in physics _"energy"_ has a specific definition. So unless you are using the word energy as a metaphor, what you say makes no sense. Unless you can demonstrate and measure the type and amount of energy intentionality contains, you aren't being scientific.
So how many kilojoules of energy is there in intentionality? Also you do realise that there is no such thing as _"negative or bad energy"_ in physics. That phrase only has a metaphorical colloquial meaning, like when people say _"this room has bad energy"._
So instead of trying to give credence to your hypothesis by the use of conspiracy theories and poisoning the well against the pharmaceutical industry. The industry that is directly responsible for doubling our lifespans, from 40 to 80 years in the last couple of centuries. How about you provide some evidence that thoughts or speech or unspoken intentionality can affect matter without any physical contact.
This experiment cannot count and is not evidence of that, because as I've already pointed out many times in this thread, whenever this experiment is conducted under strict scientific protocols, the claimed effect fails to be replicated.
_True believers_ just seem to ignore this fact and simply accept the anecdotal evidence from random people on social media that claim the experiment worked for them. That's not science.

You’re putting too much into it and making it too important and you’re messing with it and opening the jars too much. Just leave the lid on and say the things to them a couple times a day for a couple of months. Plus with the law of attraction making something too important and being desperate actually pushes what you want further away. Letting go gives space for the universe to make things align rather than smothering. I did the experiment and the hate rice grew nasty mold and the love rice stayed the same.
