But, I wonder i can do indepth state wise analysis like that of Indian elections for two reasons. Firstly, I do not have so much localised understanding of US politics . Second, viewers may not be interestd in such a detail.

Further, merely being born in one country wouldn't make one have family origin in that country. Nevertheless, Sonia Gandhi's family is well known unlike mine though I am Indian/Telugu by origin. When I said what Sonia Gandhi knew about us (Telugu) to divide AP (which the BJP also supported), others said we can be divided by using Article 3 whether the majority agree or not. So, similarly, Sonia Gandhi could have become the PM if she wished based on the rules that existed at that time.

But when Sonia was trying to become PM everyone opposed it because she is not Indian Born and her family is purely Italian. Thats why she dropped, but yes if she wanted to..she would have been..then the consequences would be different I guess..I mean people wouldn't like it (since everyone opposed in the first place).
And TG - AP problem is different, if the Gentleman agreement, which made when AP was formed, was followed and some importance has given to TG. We would not ask for a seperate state. It is a fact that budget spent in TG is no where near to it was agreed while forming AP. And also water distribution which leaded to barren lands in TG, while water is flowing from TG to AP. They built projects in AP but not in TG which was a shame. Everywhere we were critizied. As a simple example, all statues on Tank bund are people of AP ..not even one from TG. In movies our language was distriminated. I can give 100 more examples... And at last I would say law was made in Parliment and most of the people in the country was not opposing it(by understanding the fact that TG has been discriminated)..it's just people in AP who opposed..
So most people were ok with it(country as a whole as the law was in hands of Parliment not state assembly), but in case of Sonia most people wouldn't be ok

BJP started the ONE VOTE TWO STATES slogan long before BRS (then TRS) formed. The so-called Gentlemen agreement was used in the 1969 agitation and then agreed to stay united after the agitation. Therefore the Gentleman's Agreement (it is only beneficial for politicians) has no validity after the 1969 agitation. What projects were built in SeemaAndhra and not in Telangana. In fact, the only place developed in undivided AP was Hyderabad and nothing else. AP people suffered from the forced bifurcation and therefore it makes sense for them to oppose. When India partitioned, only opposed and not the rest of the world, should we say based on that the partition is justified?
