I've assembled my Malm queen sized bed and the 6 drawer bureau with your guidance. Very grateful. Would not have been able to do it without your videos. The two dimensional cryptic drawings in the Ikea instruction sheets were not remotely as helpful. But now here's the thing. One drawer's front panel was damaged. The cross bars between the drawers cracked as I put the screws in. There were excessive bits of hardware, and some crucial ones missing. I'm wondering if it was a repackaged return, sold as new. My trust in Ikea is not what it was.

Make sure that when you assemble the middle part that divides the smaller drawers was placed correctly (Left and Right). Otherwise one will be higher, the drawer won't fit in it and you'll have to disassemble and flip it around.

Buy it gumtree in your area people are always selling it, I brought a brand new and assembled and everything only £55, even got it delivered in a normal size car just had to take out the drawers which was very easy
I just finished installing mine, followed all the steps, and double checked everything. But the dresser is wobbly from side to side. Any way to fix this?
Screws might not be tight enough, tighten them a little more. What I like to do when I assemble this kind of furniture is to put a small drop of wood glue just on the corners that way it is sturdy.
try screwing it to the wall?? I recently bought one and it wobbled a bit but I screwed it and attached to the wall and now it’s secure and it doesn’t wobble at all!!
11:41 is the confusing part. Is that screw just not screwed in all the way? And there is no hole for the screw on the opposite side of the metal bar. Do you just screw that one in anyway?
That correct screw on the front panel (there is predrilled hole) not going in all the way leave a little gap just for the support come in should be close enough so it does not make a rattling noise when opening and closing drawer. back part of the drawer there is no pre-drilled hole so you just have to do it without (should be no problem with an electric screwdriver). Hope that help.Good luck

Because drawers are big when you open them at the same time unit can flip especially with small kids this can be dangerous anyway you have option L shape brackets are included in the box so up to you sometime is better to be safe than sorry. My experience many people still don't want to have them attached on the wall but if there is small kind I would suggest to doit.

1cm is too much. Drawers out unit face down back panel out slowly don't break you need to take nails out one by one. And again corner to corner than the same number and put the back panel again correctly and it should be fine.

Hi I ordered my 6 chest drawer from Ikea exact same one except mine is a different color. I started assembling the drawer and noticed a couple of the large screws are missing. I wrote an email to Ikea explaining my situation but they still have not gotten back to me yet. wonder how long I have to wait. i wanna finish assembling this .

I was almost done with all the drawers and was putting them one by one when I finally got the last one completed it doesn’t fit on the bottom space the drawer touches the wood divider. Upon unboxing, I was immediately upset at how the rails were very noticeably bent. Honestly I love this thing, make sure to read the measurements and measure your space so you know if it'll work for you. I bought this to put inside my closet, underneath where I hang my clothes and it is absolutely perfect! It is VERY sturdy and all drawers glide easily and mine are stuffed, and they are still flush when closed.
gee why doesn't my drawer fit. Had to push it hard in. Once in there was about a 1/2 inch gap at the top. What the hell. Is that an issue with the holes in the cabinet or the drawer track. Its a malm desk, but it's still malm. Anybody got an answer.
My bottom front frame came with a " L bracket plate " and the holes for the screws, Do not fit. Is anyone running into this problem I'm wondering if that's why in the instructions they recommend a drill. Help this is Bullshit. Nice video though.
You will get slightly newer version of this MALM chest of drawers. Different is only part at the front bottom panel all the rest is same. Thank you for watching
IKEA Could save paper and also costs by reffering to the videos and skip the paper user guides and directions which are usfull but not very do not offer very clear directions for most people.
I hate when they use those thing pieces for the drawer bottoms, they can't hold anything even remotely of weight. At least they have the support on the big drawers though.
Garbage furniture. Try to move it to your next place. It will fall apart quicker than you can say, oops. Stop being cheap, buy real pre-assembled furniture.

It’s a great video expect my top two ones don’t slide In easily it seems the the slide thing that’s on the long board wasn’t placed right

Make sure your inner wheels line up with the outer wheels. We unscrewed ours and attached them correctly. Easy to fix this mistake.

One of my drawers are jammed. What should I do ?
try grabbing things out maybe?? Or try to sort it out from the back. This happens to me a lot but I just try to empty the drawers and much as possible

This is the older model there was not covering panel yet under the drawers. New videos on new MALM drawers with covering panel will come soon.
