Do people really think Algeria, a conservative sunni muslim country, would allow a trans person to compete at the olympics?
Khelif was disqualified from the 2023 world championships after failing an unspecified gender eligibility test.
No , after defeating a Russian opponent . The president of the International Boxing Organisation was Russian . Imane was born as a woman and raised as a woman . Her birth certificate and her passport , she is listed as a woman . Woman can have medical condition with high testosterone level . She is a beautiful creation of almighty !
@@ThePrimusCrusader no the ban was politically motivated. Besides, she is a cisgender female with a genetic disorder that gives her an advantage just like Micheal Phelps has a genetic advantage in swimming for having longer arms

He's also a union buster
Sounds like a sane progressive
Even on a factual basis he was wrong again and again. No, the Olympics don't just look at passports to determine gender. They have a testing procedure decided by the governing body of the specific sport.
You can have a transman compete in male sports, but it's not fair to have transwomen compete in female sports.
Why is an Algerian vs Italian boxing match in Paris an issue in the US? Do they imagine Algeria is "woke"? Eligibility is determined by the IOC.
Because people are tired of actual born men beating up on women, which has happened inside and outside of the U.S. in different sporting events.
Because many people are clueless and have weak feelings
The Olympics defers eligibility testing to the governing body of each sport! It's just for boxing they had to create an in-house governing body since the IBA, who are the organisation that disqualified Khalif in 2023, are so ridiculously corrupt. Their eligibility test for boxing is based on the one that was established after Rio 2016, before the IBA was stripped of its status as the global governing body.

IBA tested them to make sure they were XX karyotypes and they failed. They have Y chromosomes. They likely have a DSD (that only males can get) that gave the appearance of outer female genitals at birth and were thus recorded and raised as female. But they had internal testes which became active during puberty and produced male levels of testosterone that ended up building male physiques. I am sure this was highly distressing to them and their families, but it is not fair for them to fight against females.

That's exactly what the bathroom issue is about too, so why is Cenk not consistent with his positions? Btw, I don't even think Francesca is saying sports organizations shouldn't have rules or methodologies to determine what is fair competition, she's just saying a person's identity shouldn't be a factor and she's also saying WE as uninvolved individuals shouldn't foment discrimination with positions such as Cenk's which, if taken to their logical conclusions, end up catering to the Right. Why have a female category at all then?
Now that society is finally accepting Trans people in general, these kind of questions are being raised. It makes sense to ask because in the past we haven’t had to very much, if at all. Regardless, if a woman transitioned to a male, then that person is on testosterone by necessity. However, testosterone is a performance enhancing drug. We all know the policies surrounding PEDs. If a man transitions to female, then very possibly that person’s musculature will be, by nature, superior in size and strength to other females. Yes, that person would be on estrogen but from a physical perspective that may not level the “playing field” enough. In competition there can be no external advantage(s) allowed.
Wow, an actual nuanced position? How dare you suggest that the situation is complicated instead of just calling Cenk a fascist for not wanting people who've been on hormones for a week to compete in sports with cis people of the gender they're transitioning to.
For Francesca, I think she believes that standing strong and fighting the good fight on this issue by clashing with right wingers will win the day. I don’t think this is true. Did we get gay rights/acceptance b/c of pride marches with dudes in drag or wearing thongs and weird bondage leather stuff screaming for everyone to accept them? Or did we get gay rights b/c of just regular straight people interacting with regular gay people, so straight people saw that gay people weren’t scary, evil child molesters but just Brian in accounting.
Also, it’s easy to “stand strong” on this issue when you don’t have to sacrifice anything substantive for this position. She’s basically volunteering olympic athletes to give up medals b/c of what she thinks is right. What if Francesca had to give up being in this show b/c a trans person filled the slot? Shouldn’t she support that, more trans visibility?
You seem to make a lot of assumptions that I don't know how you could possibly know. So you're saying going to like a pride parade and never changed anyone's thoughts or feelings about any gay people. I didn't realize you had the powers of professor x and a Time traveler.

Protect the Rights of Women n that is all that matters. These women trained all their life to get to Olympics n their rights should be protected.
What rights are violated by allowing trans people to complete? Genuine question. I'm unaware of such a right.
Whatever set of chromosomes a person has when they are born cannot be changed. This is because chromosomes are in all the cells that make up our bodies. To change a person’s chromosomes would mean changing trillions of cells! There aren’t any technologies (and probably won’t be in the future) that can change a chromosome in all of a person’s cells. Whichever gender someone identifies with (or not) is based on their internal sense of being, not chromosomes. Chromosomes can only say what a person is born with, not how they see themselves. Say what you want.....males females can't change their chromosomes.
I unsubbed ages ago because y'all got unhinged, but I came here after the Majority Report video. I'm *disgusted* with this. Fran deserves better, and TYT has sold out. This isn't a progressive platform. This is a vanity project.

I’m pretty progressive, but I disagree with trans women competing. Outside athletics, I’m 100% pro-trans. In sports, women deserve this space.
Then there's nothing wrong with supporting Imane, since she is a biological WOMAN
@@ultimateme3049The real issue is that the Algerian boxer was banned last year for excessive testosterones levels and this shows how poor are the testing procedures in the Olympics. It’s not about questioning her gender. It’s about if this boxer violated rules by injecting drugs to elevate her testosterone or she has a condition that excessively elevates these levels.

It’s unfortunate that it is difficult for trans people, but it can’t be fair for biological women to compete against people born male. I’m not sure that sports are human rights either.
But the boxer was born female and from a country that does not allow trans
@@matthewwelsh294 yes…the boxer was born female…not in dispute. I think trans people should have equal rights. Sports is just a tricky area to make fair so that it works for everyone. Sports automatically rules out most people anyway.

Sam seder set you straight Cenk I wish you would grow some ballz and debate him on the subject. This is embarrassing for a progressive. I've been watching you since you started in pretty much a basement. The Left has outlived its need for TYT.
Francesca's argument is an illogical time-loop.
She argues that IF transwomen aren't allowed in women's sports, THEN actual women will be challenged.
That has historically always been a problem. People called Serena Williams, Steffi Graf, Martina Navratilova and others "manly" 25 to 50 years ago. That didn't happen because of the trans debate of the 2020s. That obnoxious reaction to athletic women is already baked in, has always been, and thus is completely irrelevant to the discussion. I don't like it, I think it's wrong, but the trans debate didn't cause it and won't solve it.
But I'll give credit for one thing: at least she didn't bring up the unconvincing standard talking points of "we don't ban tall people from basketball" or "Michael Phelps has long arms and blah blah blah lactic acid." Maybe even she is sick of hearing those. One can hope, and further hope everyone else will abandon them too.
But John with the bad hair (too old for that to look good, sorry) fell back into that old canard, "they don't care about women's sports, so what they say doesn't matter." So if someone who does care disagrees with him, say Martina Navratilova for example, then what? Does she win automatically? An irrelevant argument, because he doesn't really care whether someone cares.
Holy shit Fran is so wrong it's not even funny. You have monitor and test especially in combat sports where people can get hurt or even die!
Cenk: "this Is bad politics" =any trans issues
Cenk: I identify as a credible candidate for president. 😂
The whole "Trump & Vance are weird" thing works beautifully, but Francesca has to jump in and make sure that the far left looks weirder. Trump is happy.
Genetic woman = xx chromosomes. This is fundamental, basic biology. What do you mean it doesn’t exist?
I know. That was a indoctrinated response.
@thrutherhythm44 so if you were born a female, with female anatomy, and you have both xx and xy chromosome your not a female? Because this happens.
This is a super basic. Sex is physical and gender is social. As far as sports go, sex is the reason we have men's and women's activities separated, not gender. Because sports are physical, not social. Side note. Mammals have XX or XY chromosomes that differentiate males and females. How someone identifies is not biologically relevant.
Yeah it's really not that simple
@@oleonard7319oh it is that simple are born with a dick, then you are a boy, simple as that
@@andrewrai5752 Wrong. Google search gonadal dysgenesis. Seems you failed your endocrinology class.
It's not basic at all. "Sex is physical" - so what if someone has XY chromosomes but female genitals, or XX chromosomes but male genitals? Are those people physically male or female? How would you determine that? Also gender is not just social. There are differences in brain structure between males and females, which we've known through brain scans since the 1960s. What if someone has a female brain structure but male genitals? You need to take endocrinology classes to understand this stuff.
I agree to a certain extent but I don't think it needs to follow a guideline that denotes sex as physical and gender as social. The simplicity of following the scientific, biological differences between those with xy and xx chromosomes is enough. We need to make a distinction because it's just a fact of reality that xy will develop more physical strength than xx. There's literally no equal playing field if those with that kind of advantage are allowed to compete. I support testing for testosterone and making an exception for those who transitioned early enough to mitigate any development that would be considered abnormally stronger compared to the rest of their competitors in the sport they wish to compete in. Saying that we should universally accept any and all trans people into competitive sports is just a misplaced sense of compassion.
Why do we have men’s sports and women’s sports if there’s no biologically innate differences? We should love all people, but love is acceptance but not total agreement.❤
They can't share the athletes' tests. It would violate their privacy.
Yeah don't care about their privacy when it could mean the difference of life and death for women. There have been multiple times when transwomen have maimed and almost killed a woman. The nonsense has to stop before it is normal for women to die in their events.
I heard MTG used to be a man. Is this possible? Hell no - what clowns. 🇺🇸💙

I agree with yal on most things . But not this. There is a reason that men and women have separate races . Men are bigger and stronger than women. They should not competing together .
Well but that is not the discussion here. First of all there are nowhere women who compete against men except of disciplines that are unisex. Secondly transsexual athletes i.e. transsexual women who have been trough female puberty are more similar bodily to cis women than to men. There is very little evidence that transsexual women have any significant advantage over cis women. All this outrage is not based on evidence which I would be in favor to conduct. Let’s do research on this topic and actually find out what measurements and policies ensure fairness and inclusiveness. Picking people because of their looks and judging their gender and potential advantages by their looks is nothing but crazy.
You think men and women are separate “races” but your opinion is supposed to hold some sort of meaning or value?
So if you want to use the excuse that she's a woman that had elevated testosterone. Shouldn't she be disqualified based on the extremely high testosterone levels just like Lance Armstrong when he used blood transfusion and testosterone injections to win the Tour de France

Khalif needs to sue Fox News
Francesca's go-to tactic is manipulative gaslighting. NO ONE would suspect a masculine woman of being a man in sports if sporting bodies didn't allow men/males into the female category. If we went back to the common sense once-in-a-lifetime genetic test for all female athletes and disqualification of anyone with a Y chromosome then no one would be suspicious of any female in the female category. It isn't just that an athlete is abnormally tall, big or has masculine features, it's all of that PLUS the fact that the IOC and other sporting bodies allow males into the female category. Francesca unsurprisingly ignores the last (and most important) factor. When sex categories are intentionally obscured, all people have to go on is instinctual sex differentiation.
