Sagam period Who said it belongs to literature. Many of the words that were in that period are just what I can. Literary works were also born in Malayalanadu.
Is Kutiyattam a play or a performing style, and if so what are some plays one can watch?
Kutiyattam is performance of Sanskrit drama, as stipulated some thousand years ago. This clip gives glimpses of Soorpanakha ankam. Soorpanakha is youger sister of Ravana and she has mental problems. Lakshmana cuts her nose, then rivalry starts between Rama and Ravana.
Perhaps, there are 50 such dramas, or even more.
It should be given classical status
UNESCO not enough?.
@@rajuvarma5338 What do you mean be enough? Does UNESCO provide funds for the development and promotion of this art. No. The "intangible Cultural Heritage", to my knowledge, is just a list of such acts.
While giving classical status, The central Govt will provide funds for the promotion of it.
yes
It is not dead , it not dying
We will not allow it to die

Avoid this trick of linking everything to Tamil. It has nothing to do with the organization that came into being during the time of the Kulasekhara Perumaks. In those days, people gave importance to Sanskrit
Who cares if it's samskrit or tamil 😂
