Great video After a lot of people’s advice including you my cat8 alloy -10 broke after getting used for around 3 years Now I’m getting the DeMarini zoa -8 Brayden baseball bag is also really good
You will like the Zoa, very different than a Cat8 alloy.

Interested in your bat science in alloy vs slower pitch velo and cold weather
Not really scientific, but real life scenarios. The composite bat takes a higher velocity pitch (coupled with a fast swing) to get the most exit velocity and distance from a bat. When you only have one of those variables (fast swing) you do not get the maximum output from the bat because the composite does not compress enough (which is why composite bats aren’t great for coach pitch). Alloy compress a little easier and get more results from the slower pitches. This has shown in tournaments we’ve competed in where pitching was low 40s and the boys struggled to get the ball out of the infield. Switched to alloys with the same pitcher and saw shots over outfielders heads. Cold weather is just to keep from blowing your composite bat up. They aren’t supposed to be used in colder weather where the alloy is ok to use. Hope this helps.
What glove would you recommend for a 9-13u player? Plays pitcher, 3rd and some center.
Brayden likes the Rawlings HOH and Wilson A2000. Some people will say that’s too much of a glove for a kid that age. We disagree. You spend the same amount (or more) on a bat that they will outgrow in a year. Won’t out grow that mitt for a while.
I just got the Zoa it came not even an hour ago can’t wait to use it in the batting cages have to break it in

My son is 8 idk what size helmet bc idk if it should be tight fit or loose fit.
Helmets should fit snug. Loose will fall off and not protect if they get hit.

Why does he have Herat of the hides and stuff. He is only like 9 or 10.
Why not? It fits him well and is easy for him to use. A good mitt will last a long time. Most people don’t invest in good mitts but will drop high dollars on a bat that they will outgrow in a year.
