I love this trail. I am too old to start jumping massive tables or gaps but every time I come here my riding skills get so much better. Each lap you push a bit harder get a bit more air get to the bottom and want to go again.
Great video.... a lot better than some I have done! 🤣 The commentary is really good, very useful for people who haven't been. The Forest of Dean has to be one of my favourite places to ride. The trails are fantastic. The end of Verderers has just been resurfaced and flows amazing....so much better than before!
Nice guide. I'm by no means an expert but this is the most technical blue I've ridden. For context I'm comparing with Sherwood Pines, Cannock and Thetford. I honestly think it's harder than Sherwood Pines' red - although no drop-offs on Verderers.
Having ridden this with my family yesterday I 100% agree. Even more so when you consider the quantity of descent on the way down. I’ve ridden lots at Sherwood, Cannock, BPW, Coed y Brenin as well as some more family focused blues nearby. This is another level blue. Awesome but think twice before take small children or novices.
I agree, this blue trail is really good fun. However, I found the signs to be very unclear in the first mile or so. So much so that somehow, I found myself riding in the opposite direction to everyone else. I managed to correct myself after asking someone for help, but the red trail was a different matter. I ended up trying to ride up an impossibly steep, slippy and twisty incline, which couldn't have been right. I ended up turning back and quitting. It put me off from going back. Very frustrating.
I know the trails quite well around FOD but I still enjoyed the video. It makes a pleasant change to have some commentary and information. I don't particularly like those films where the rider simply straps a go pro on and films a descent with no added value other than seeing how good some riders are.
Unfortunately I didn't get chance to chat to him. It was quite busy in there at the time. I managed to chat to Blake Samson in my video from last week at the isle of wight. That was pretty cool.
@@bikeandbeyond I bet it was cool 😎. I really want to meet Blake . Has he subscribed to your channel? I also want to meet you I’m also in Cornwall to . Are you in the south west again? Cheers jed
Just starting to dabble into the mountain bike scene after wanting to for years, I just want to see if it's something I do really want to do and this video makes me excited, great work! Any pointers for someone looking to get into mountain biking?
Nice work. I hope you enjoy getting out on your bike. Best thing to remember for any new rider is that the best component on the bike to upgrade is yourself. Working on your confidence and skills will make you a much better rider than just buying an expensive bike.
@@bikeandbeyond I am yet to purchase a bike, sorry if that wasn't clear. I have seen a few different bikes people are recommending for around 500 quid. Have you any suggestions?

Yeah it is certainly an addictive trail with plenty of features to play on. I always leave smiling!
Thanks for that. Great to get a sense of what to expect.

Great video, and a very professional sounding commentary. These videos are helping me plan where to ride. Top job! 👍
Nice vid.
Did Verderers a few months ago and loved it.
Might check this place out next week, looks spot on 👌🏻
Really helpful video. Doing this trail for the first time tomorrow on my hardtail (Cannondale Trail) - should be fun!
Great video! The voice over is really helpful!
I'm planning on hit the trails this coming weekend and just getting a idea of what I'll be facing. Seems like a great day out!
If you are planning on riding the Forest of Dean, you will like the video I have made for Friday. Definitely check it out before you go there.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Try "commencal inferior" at Vallnord, also a "blue", it makes Verderers look like a green 😮
@@haba_15 yikes 😬
Great video planning on going in a couple of weeks.
How did your trip go? I went saturday and that gbu line is something else
Hoping to ride here next week it will be my first ever time on a trail as very new too the sport 👌🏻
Its a good one. Lots of climbing in the first half Great second half though.
@@bikeandbeyond I’ll be on a 2x9 hard tail so hopefully I’ll survive lol
@@paulcarpenter2670 love hardtails more than full sus .
Did this today. It's great.
Why stop in the middle of the trail? Pull over to one side 😧😧

one of the favourite bike park trails I have ridden [which isn't many admittedly]. About the right skill level for me, I'm no good at jumping
I don’t why but it feels weird seeing a trail that you go on regular in a TH-cam video
They’ve just spent some money one the blue trails and I rode it today so nice and smooth no bumps you should check it out
The guy that burns his hand in the cafe!!!:)
that is Richard Payne
enduro and xc racer and now a presenter of GMBN

Thanks, I am glad you liked the video!
Nice vid! Can I ask which spray pump you use at the end please? I've been looking for a decent mobile one..
Hi Ollie
When you walked in the cafe I saw rich Payne from gmbn . Did you get to meet and speak to him ?
Cheers from jed

Its Rich
Love the guy burns his hand and jumps at 1.30! 😂
Hahah its awesome that you noticed that!
It's one of the GMBN lads haha
I saw that I think it’s Rich from GMBN 😜
I got the same exact bike as you the voodoo bizango
I like that rich from gmbn is just standing in the cafe
I clocked that. Burning his hands on his tea.
How much did it cost for you
The trails are free, but parking is something like £5-£8 per day.
1:29 is that Neil from GMBN?
Haha, yeah it looks like him with the Poc helmet on.
@@bikeandbeyond I only noticed when I watched the video second time. Great work anyway, keep it going :)
Bike and Beyond Great Video you should have switched to launch pad at the end though it’s more fun 👍🏾👍🏾🙌🏽🙌🏽
