Kingsley, I have asked this question to the Lord for years. I can only share my experience. Sundown of friday to sundown on Saturday will ALWAYS be "the Sabbath, as this is the day the Lord "rested" after creation. It was "man" (from the Catholic Church centuries ago who actually rebelled against the OT law) that deemed Sunday the day of rest. Therefore the nation's grew to accept Sunday as the day of rest. It is NOT. Although we know this truth, we must not attempt to "force" that truth on others, nor judge them for it. THIS is very important, as they cannot do it if they do not know it. Only God can change their heart on the matter, not us. We can remember that when God asks us to do a specific thing, it is for us to do it that way, like eating or not eating certain things, going or not going to a particular place. Now, considering that 99% of "churches" today meet on Sundays, we may either gather with them or hold the true day of rest at our homes along with others who choose to hold that day. Keep in mind, we must not become rigid or legalistic about the matter, else we risk giving the open invitation to a "religious spirit". Then there would be a multitude of problems surely that will kill our witness of the kingdom message & the testimony of Jesus Christ our magnificent Lord & savior. I pray you have understanding. God be with you.
The work of Christ has been done. His life, death, burial and resurrection, was for the restoring of the union between God and man. He allows us to be "reconciled" (changed from enemy status to friendship) to Him (II Corinthians 5:18-19. He accepts us in the beloved (Ephesians 1:6). He already knows what things we have NEED of, BEFORE we ask Him (Matthew 6:8). Each one of us is to now daily practice doing His will (Matthew 6:10: Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven). Start at home.

The Bible says in Isaiah 8;20 tells you how to find the truth church which preaches the gospel. If they don't believe in keeping the sabbath day Holy don't follow them. The sabbath day is Friday sunset to Saturday sunset. It is the Lord's day. Sunday is worshipping of the sun God. Read the Kjv Bible for themselves. Read Nehemiah and read Hebrews 4. The Lord's day of rest is not Sunday Sunday is man's tradition. Read genesis chapter 1 and 2. God bless
