    Awesome presentation in terms of beginning to end! Definitely need #4, 5 and 6. The grip the goes upwards and sideways is so sick, and the attachment to make it a two handed gimbal is perfect for long shoots / further stabilization. Dope video.

    These are useful suggestions! I don't yet have this gimbal but have the Sony A6600. I actually hate too many attachments because I travel a lot and want the smallest, most sleek-looking set up possible. However, the two additional handles actually look like they are expanding the functionality of the gimbal quite a bit. Thanks!

    Enjoyed the video. I ordered the extention arm for my mic...I have a rode video mic pro plus. Problem I had wasnt the arm catching but I would have had to then counterweight the camera (a7iii) which felt like robbing Peter to pay Paul to me as I didn't want to keep adding more weight. Think I need a sifferent solution something to attach to the other side that I can mount a mic on. With all the numerous brackets available it's hard to know which to get...also one that doesn't cost loads. I also think £22 for that bracket is extortionate, I returned mine.

    That little cold shoe is great!
    Too bad my new Sony mic needs it to be a hot shoe... But a small video light is useful too!
    I think the first thing I mount to this will be a monopod though - to use as a boom!

    • @BallysRealm
      @BallysRealm  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So many ways to accessorise this gimbal. I am glad I found the cold shoe adapter as it allows the mic to face in the same direction as the camera.
      I think I saw that the sony xlr-k3m XLR adapter comes with some sort of an extension cable. Maybe you can look into this for your Sony Mic so you can relocate it?

  • @STAG162
    @STAG162 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    question: do you lock out individual axes when operating the gimbal? or was that just to show us how all this stuff would work without the axes freely getting in the way?
    I like the quick release idea and the individual handles, but I need a solution that works for my use, ie. I'm a lefty and the magic arm (for mounting a monitor) would be right where my arm would be while shooting, and I wouldn't be able to see what's going on. this would make me go back to using the smallrig cheese handle with the coldshoe top-mounted, and the gimbal would get in the way of the monitor there as well. not a lot of options left to warrant practicality.

    • @BallysRealm
      @BallysRealm  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I let all axes go freely. This was Just to show all the parts for the video.
      You could always mount the Monitor on top of the back handle or the side handle (which you can have on the left or the right of the handle).
      I quite like having the monitor on top of the back handle on the cold shoe.

    doesn't the monitor get in the way if you want to use the L bracket/handle?

    • @BallysRealm
      @BallysRealm  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It can, but the smallrig arm is a way to get around that. Or you could use the UURig DH14 handle and mount the monitor on the cold shoe of that. That way the monitor is right in front of your face - which is nice.

  • @CinematicTouchProductions
    @CinematicTouchProductions 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    WARNING NOTE!!! the transmount extension plate may be good for some shooting styles but what you didn't show when you swong the tilt arm because you did not swing far enough back wards is that it will hit the vortex mode arm, its in the way blocking the full swing and capability of that action, thus completely defeating the whole purpose of why you would want thing gimble in the first place.

    • @BallysRealm
      @BallysRealm  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have you tried it your self? my camera lens is the first thing that stops my camera from going all the way down before the transmount plate gets in the way. When going backwards its the same thing. I can do full vortex mode without any issues.

  • @calebgivens2549
    @calebgivens2549 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @BallysRealm

    • @BallysRealm
      @BallysRealm  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You need to make sure its loosend up first, then slide it on the correct way. The silver pin only allows it to be taken off as it locks it in place.

      It only vibrates when you do the auto tune first (that is because it is trying to figure out the correct strenth to provide me motors)
      After that it has been fine for me. I am on the latest firmware - 2.05

    Hello, thank you for your video! Can you use the Zhiyun Transmount Extension plate, without removing anything, when you use the gimbal in underslung mode? Best

      Hi, yes you can! It stays in line with the camera wherever you point it.

    Looking to get a weebil s but I’m wondering if it supports a dual handle that is spaced further out like that of the ronin gimbals?

    • @BallysRealm
      @BallysRealm  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I dont think there is a dedicated one like that, but you can install 2 of the Agimbalgear handles and have one on either side to make it act like that.

    How can I mount my camera vertically in weebill S ?

    • @BallysRealm
      @BallysRealm  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can get L mount brackets or a cage for your camera and put the Arca Swiss plate from the Weebill S on the side of the camera.

    Hi, for the 2nd accessory you have to rebalance the gimbal anytime you add it on, no?

    • @BallysRealm
      @BallysRealm  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I balanced everything with the extension plate on and always attach it when I use the gimbal as my microphone sits on it. This way the microphone can face in the right direction every time. I dont use the gimbal without it so no need to rebalance.
      If you did want to use it sometimes with and sometimes without, then yes you would need to rebalance.

      @@BallysRealm ok thanks because most of the time i use my gimbal with the rode go lav mic, and occasionally i would use the rode videomic pro

    • @BallysRealm
      @BallysRealm  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Perhaps you could have the VideoMic pro on the gimbal all the time so you don't have to rebalance. You could then choose to plug in the rode lav mic or the VideoMic when you needed?

    can that UUrig handle be used with the Zhiyun quick release coupling?

    • @BallysRealm
      @BallysRealm  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe so, you could put the nato rail type mount onto the Zhiyun quick release and then have a double quick release! It may not be as stable as having it connected directly though.

    How much extra weight you added ?

    • @BallysRealm
      @BallysRealm  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It does make the whole rig quite heavy, but having the dual handles really helps with the weight distribution.

    🤔Says he puts his mic on the extension plate- but didn’t add a picture or any b-roll of it 🤦🏿‍♂️. Viewers don’t need any of the things listed. These companies will have you buying new accessories everyday while not even knowing how to use the camera yet. Who needs the convenience of all these things, as if everyone is running around over worked from all the “cinematic” film they’re recording?! 😂😂😂😂. You look ridiculous up there, as if you’re using that gear for the first time! 😂😂😂
