I did last year's Rlaarlo speed challenge. Running stock motor and esc. I changed the radio to Radiolink RC6gs, changed the servo, and stuck on some decent foams. Put some stiffer oil in the diffs and adjust the geometry to run lower plus nose down, stiff at the rear to avoid squatting. Running on Onyx 4s I managed 109mph. Easy could have got to 120mps but ran out of road. Keep at it. Speed running is awesome. I'm preparing for the ROSSA event held in the UK which are fantastic events.

The car is impressive, looks great too. One of the biggest issues I run into with these types of cars is same as you, finding a spot to run them. I recently got the Losi 22S car and as fun as it is , I have to make sure there’s no traffic , smooth pavement and try not to pile into the curb. I find myself more inclined to just grab a basher because it’s just easier .
Seen this pup on sale today the 4 th of July . I ve had two rlaarlo s so far and I like them both . The cf Omni is awesome . The 3s brushless truggy is $111 right now on Amazon and that’s a deal and half imho . The 3s is so quick it can pull up the front at any speed in command . It pops the front end nice at the start . Like it can do it as many times as the trigger is pumped . My dad liked it so I gave it to him . I seen everyone mostly had the brushed version but the brushless is all built with more than enough power . I think it’s a wl toys 144001 . One time a steering link popped after it rolled about 30 yards in a lot . Them darn wheelies at high speeds . Must have been going around 50mph with larger tires . It will do 44 mph on 2s 👍. That’s why I say it’s a deal for anyone looking at 1/14 or getting into the game . Not even the HBX 16980sa is as good as the 3s truggy . It’s good but . Hbx has solid diff cups and steel imo for the drivetrain .
I've almost ordered one of the Rlaarlo speed cars a dozen times. I think the second one they released is my favorite. I have a couple 6s Infractions but they really need room to drive right plus they eat at least a $40 pair of tires every few battery packs.

Hey man nice video. I have one of those as well and I noticed if you go down in spur to much it’ll cog It’s really a nice platform my biggest bitch is you have to have an almost clean running surface (because of the low clearance) any rocks or pebbles and it’ll jump or flip over
Looks real nice and goes good !!! I normally check everything like you do and for the first time i took an rc out the other day and ran it out of the box to give that same experience and it blew a diff on me 😅 .... Wont ever do that again

RC cars don’t run good on most roads at high speeds since they’re all pitched for water runoff .
